Doing it confidently was something instinctive, years ago. If you were an adult, you could smoke, and that was the end of the matter, seemingly. (Philip Morris even sponsored classes specifically to teach women how to smoke properly.) There was an aura of innocent confidence about it, decades back.It was just part of who she was and smoking was not taboo back then.
@stunnedbygrace So how is your stress doing?Farouk, I'm sorry it took me so long to get to this thread .. I had some stress and began again for almost 5 months now. But I am currently charging all of the batteries so I will be ready to start on it again. I felt so much better for that 3 months! But, I am not convinced that smoking is a sin.
So do you find that - taking all things into consideration - vaping, completely quitting permanently or sticking with cigarettes works better for you?Yeah, I agree. Its a focus on the outside of another person's cup that keeps one from looking at the inside of theirs.

You mentioned you had a lot of stress.
Glad the stress seems to have improved, anyway.Oh yeah...I think that was back in December, when I was just opening my shop. I've come out of that stress and back into trust. Or it may have been the previous summer, that was when I picked cigs back up after 5 months of having quit.
I've been slowly acclimating myself back to trying again with the Greensmoke ecig. I have them, just have to get them all charged and ready again. They're the only ecig that ever worked for me.

So do you find that Greensmoke is good? A lot of ppl have gotten off regular cigarettes via vaping, it seems.
Thanks for your story! God bless your local church fellowship around the Bible!I do not know how I missed this !!!!!!!!!!!! ???????????
I started even before I was a teen........ and I got my girl friend also to start !
Back then the pack of cigarettes were 25 cents a pack ..... and a carton was 1.99 !?
I got my friend to smoke.......... Very sorry about that !
Because I have not had any now in 30 years.....
And she still smokes..
It seemed like most people did smoke back then !
I had tried over the years to stop,,,, a lot of times.
Finally, I did.........
I do not mean to start trouble over is part. But this did happen when my husband and
I changed churches................ or I should say just before we did.
Our younger son wanted to go to a different church at this time.
and they were looking in the phone book and driving around all over.
I had just stopped smoking then, just before this all started.
And we found a church........... Grace bible ...........
before this we did not even have a bible in our home......
So we are all blessed now and none of us smoke..........!
I see what you mean, yes. It must take some organizing to get really into vaping in a disciplined way as a permanent replacement for cigarettes. Sounds like you do appreciate Greensmoke but have not fully mastered it as a disciplined alternative.Well...I see a bad thing going on with vaping with a lot of people. They seem to have just switched delivery methods rather than using it to work toward quitting, and I don't think vaping is all that more healthy, but neither do I know if its actually much worse. I mean, you're still ingesting something straight into your lungs.
I think you need to be in the right mental frame before you move to an ecig. Otherwise, you haven't really picked up the ecig with a goal of seeing if you can quit, but rather, as I said, simply switched delivery methods.
Yes, and this is what some other recent posts have been about in the past few hours.Well yes, that's what vaping is all about, getting the nicotine without all the other nasties in cigs.
Well, as per what you wrote on the other thread, don't beat yourself up! if you can cut down, do so, but if necessary be content to be a smoking lady that does it naturally and the maybe gradually transitioning to vaping in limited quantities to get what your system evidently needs.I do have the damn cigarettes that I haven't shook.
One good way to do it...I didn't quit smoking, I just refused to pay Obozo's exorbitant tax. For a while I tried to grow tobacco, but a smoker can't grow it. Tobacco virus lives in the lungs and when he breathes on the plants they die. So I didn't actually quit smoking, I only refused to buy, and I haven't found any other source of smokes.
Glad you were able to quit!By the grace of God I no longer smoke. But we all have our battles with chariots of iron that we can by grace overcome. :)
Glad you were able to quit!
Sometimes if there is not another smoker in the house, it can help. Is there a Mrs. Preacher4Truth and does she/did she smoke?
