Wake up BOL! They are addressing "the Word was a God"! I teach the "logos" was not a person, but a thing until it was made flesh. Their commentaries have NOTHING to do with my view and you have offered NOTHING yet to refute my view. The Scriptures declare that everything was created by YHWH as He spoke them into being with the breath of His mouth. You teach everything was created by His Son because you read the Son into John 1:1-4 and because you allow trinitarian translators to manipulate the correct understanding of Scripture.

I've been told multiple times that the whore of babylon from revelation is the Roman Catholic Church and the vatican yet I have read revelation 17 and 18 multiple times and a better match seems to be pagan rome which took place in the time revelation was written, why do people keep claiming that the whore of babylon is the catholic church when alot of the evidence suggests pagan rome

I still have a long way to go, but Walter Veith is a professor that someone else introduced me to - you can find his videos online and watch them for free. My understanding is still muddy but I know God is leading me to a study of it. I think we're in very unusual times. What I found shocking was the demonic and Islam symbolism throughout the Catholic church. I happened across this site that has a lot to say about the Catholic church. I don't know if it will help at all but it really exposes a lot about Catholicism:

Revelations was written 1900+ years ago. Do you feel that you are going to discern something from it or have a better understanding of it that no one else has had in the last 1900 years?

When you do feel like you ‘understand’ stand how will you know your interpretation is accurate?

But, we are not all at the same mile marker...some I know have been "following the Lord" for decades and are no further than when they first began...no growth. Then you have those who have been following Him for two years and are way beyond the other one in faith and growth, hence further up the only true path. I believe God opens our eyes to His truth according to our faith.

"Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you." I believe God open our eyes when we are ready and humble enough to receive His truth...a little at a time depending on our FAITH! ♥

If soverign grace’s truth ends up being different than the 100 men before SG’s then what makes SG’s truth THE TRUTH and the other 100 men’s truth a false teaching?

John 1:1 declares that everything ewas created by GOD, which includes the Word, who is the Son, who is Christ, who is and always WAS a Person.

You break a basic rule of Biblical interpretation by reading the Son into John 1:1-4. Something Tyndale and other translators refused to do in versions preceding the KJV. Your eisegesis creates major confusion and false teachings about the Son. I refuse to use that method.

I would say this should be a "yes" to all Christians. We cannot please Him without faith, and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. I believe He will only allow the Truth to come through when He sees fit as, "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now." John 16:12. And, correspond that verse with
Hebrews 5:11-14
Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing…" AND Mark 4:33
"And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it."
We do not see all things the same way at the same time. It depends on how much we empty ourselves to Him so He can fill us. IMO.
