Either He was using imprecise "inclusive" speech, for whomever else was present, even though they did not participate in creation, or He was speaking to one or more co-creators. I don't think the Bible is imprecise, so I conclude co-creator(s).

It's a plural intensive ...always used with a singular verb ....in this case, created is the verb.
I know some people who make things up like....He was talking to Jesus...............ugh

Interesting. My belief has been God was alone in the beginning. He might just have been talking to himself.

If there are other co-creators, and if you're not speaking of the Trinity, then how did the co-creators get their start?

This chapter is a warning to Babylon. Perhaps those that "worship" the stars and heavens?
Like he is mocking them because they won't be able to find the answers there?
Perhaps Orion is like Jupiter or Mars.. a god to babylon and the seven stars...

Lightfoot, who in my opinion has no light in them, just recently fell from a certain height of authority.
Are their stars beginning to fall from heaven?

I don't believe God meant these stars when he was creating the earth. But perhaps 1/3 of them.

Sounds like they get caught in a black hole with no escape.

I believe heaven was busy at the time God said... and everything came into existence.
Before God said anything the idea was already being worked out in heaven.

2Co 9:7
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

The minute God spoke something happened. Those wandering stars and Orion... Satan and his minion, left heaven and made their abode on the earth. And it became void.. empty of life. Dead. In a moment.
This is like the bookends in an instant.
God spoke it and Satan fouled it with his feet.
So God began again.. and the bible is all the story between.

Rev 1:20
The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

I believe we have been with God from eternity. And perhaps this "manifestation" just hasn't made it's appearance... yet.

So, the closest I can come is : in the day that thou wast created.
Eze 28:15
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

When God told Moses to build a tabernacle like the one he sees in heaven:
Exo 25:40
And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

How long had the pattern been in existance before God showed Moses?

Everlasting to everlasting.

Like what @Tommy Cool said....as a Queen or King might say..'we are not amused' when referring to herself/himself and her/his dominion and powerful rulership over the masses..in this case over all creation and in particular here, the first human.

He is just keeping me occupied. The Lord knows I love digging and he always has new treaures hidden everywhere.
I am (maybe not preaching) contemplating Christ and also His Kingdom. Something I am very much waiting for.
In the meantime he keeps me amused. I'm teetering on the edge of heading back towards politics and this keeps me focused.
I was going to watch Tucker Carlson tonight. He is releasing new video footage of Jan 6 and the set up it was.
But God got me digging for angels instead, and that's ok with me.

Angelic beings -- angels.

Also this statement is within the Godhead. So the Father is addressing the Son and the Holy Spirit.
