This is in response to a thread I was watching where the agnostic or atheist clearly wasn't interested in Christianity and was attacking people.

The question: Do you try to convert someone who is clearly not interested, is getting frustrated and attacking you?

I grew up in a church that would not engage with that person under those circumstances and would say that we're not helping them but hurting their future prospects.

Also this applies to missionary work on or off the internet.

Debate...
I wasted my time on some people, i thought that they would come around, but i know the type now that are not to be bothered with at all on the subject. the Bible points them out correctly, as not to cast pearls before swines or else they will only come at you, just as they did to Jesus in fact !

A person who is totally corrupted by This world is a curse ! they love this world, they love the darkness in fact because it gives them power to feed their ego, for they are very frail and they ego can not handle the Truth. so they live a lie ! they have to be one up on others of else their poor old ego will be offended.
Fact is that they lack Virtue ! that's why they are Degenerates, they are not men they are mice. they are lost to this world and a curse. they shun away from the light because they do not want to be exposed ! They think everyone is just like them in fact.

Then you have the Religious dupe who thinks his works is what will save him ? They come to Jesus and say ? but Jesus will say i never knew you ? They are working for their Salvation, fools ! Look at what we did for you ?
What can we do for Christ Jesus ? only abide in him and he does the rest in fact.

Any man who says look at me, look what i did ? i did it my way ?
No ! it's look what God did for us. One should never hold the glory of yourself, that you give to God !

I remember a best mate of mine saying when he got married, my wife will never have to work ! but now he is worthy over 10 million and he makes his wife work 7 days a week hard slog big hours but he is just chasing his tail like a stupid mutt. Due to the wealthy peers he has as idols in keeping up with them ? then another old best mate of ours, he has a huge inferior complex with him now because he knows that he will never be as rich as him ever. so he goes and does the wrong thing by him for years now .

So it's like one has a club of associates that you fit into and their is a division between such divides, who are below and above, like their own club of associates but they have to try and fit in and say the common dribble or be out of touch with the crowd, so one has to be totally stuck up and not true to yourself and that rubs off on them in time, that you can not have a conversation with them, because they totally fear saying something that may offend some stooge and they will work to undermine your business.

I was an atheist and agnostic so i have time for these lost souls. But they have to be willing to find God. Willing to admit that Gods existance may be possible. If they are closed minded then it is no use even trying. The best you can do is plant seeds of doubt in their minds. I usually ask them to prove to me that God doesn't exist and then admit that it is possible that a God might exist beyond the limited realms of our knowledge and understanding
