We know Jesus likened himself to many things ...one was that He showed us His shepherds heart..seeking and saving the stupid sheep. I don't see that in you.

If you were Admin of some forum somewhere, when you saw posts of all your born-again believing membership...what would 'give you pause' in something someone wrote, to question is they were indeed "a true Christian"?

I don't try to determine if someone on the internet is born again or not, only whether their teaching seems to me to agree with Scripture or not. I believe rebirth is simplicity itself, but that the visible Christian life may or may not come more slowly.

Anyone who itentifies as Christian I like to simply act towards them as though they are, to hopefully build them up, and if they are not truly born again, hopefully they will be.

What should 'make my laugh', but actually brings me almost to tears , is the fact that THIS THREAD that I started is all about one who calls himself a christian telling someone else that they are not!
And here it is...illustrated for us all...in THIS of all threads!!!

Gladly most who have responded with wisdom say that only God see the heart and even with us not all believing every jot and tittle the same, does not disqualify us from being God's child.

You should have learned by now that bbyrd009 has his own WEIRD ideas about Christianity and Christians. He calls them "Mithraists" and Christianity is "Mithraism". Oh I totally agree.

I learned that way back.. and it came in handy with my grandkids...especially in their teens when a couple of them 'got wild' and off the path badly.
I still talked to them about the Lord as if they still cared. I'd still ask them to pray for me when I was sick...I acted with them 'as if' ....once we tell someone 'you are not a true christian', we have shut the door on redeeming them into the true way.
