Yet there is more to Jesus' 7 Churches Messages.
Like some have hinted, all 7 Messages are still in effect for ALL Churches today. Your Church will fit at least one of those 7.
Here's the deeper mystery, which few don't get.
Five out of those seven Churches Jesus had rebuke for. Only for two Churches He had no... rebuke (Churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia).
For those two Churches Jesus mentioned a doctrine they both knew of, which the other five Churches had no mention. Jesus stated that He knew the persecutions of those two Churches by those who say... they are Jews, but do lie, and are not, but are the "synagogue of Satan" (Rev.2:9; Rev.3:9).
What Jesus was pointing to with that "synagogue of Satan" was about the "mystery of iniquity", the "many antichrists" that were already at work. In Old Testament Scripture, they were called the "workers of iniquity". In Matthew 13 Jesus revealed who they are with His explanation of His parable of the tares of the field. Jesus said they were the children of the devil, that the devil sowed them.
Most simply apply that "synagogue of Satan" to just mean deceived Jews that reject Jesus Christ. That is not the meaning about the "tares" nor the "mystery of iniquity". Early on, in Genesis 3, God announced that He would put enmity between the seed of the devil and the Seed of the Woman (that Christ would be born through). It means for this present world, SOME are ORDAINED to serve the devil, i.e., like the devil's elect.
Jude 4
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
KJV
In most Churches today, you will NOT... hear this Bible teaching about those "crept in unawares". But it is very, very important, and Lord Jesus covered it, especially in Matthew 13, IF you were paying attention in His Word, and not listening to those men who are ignorant of it.
This matter is what Apostles Paul and John were talking about with idea of the "mystery of iniquity" (2 Thess.2), and the "many antichrists" (1 John 2:18). It is the matter of Christ's parable of the "tares" in Matthew 13. And if you don't properly understand it, you will not truly understand most of Christ's parables, especially His parable of the sower.
Can those ordained to that condemnation to work against Christ be converted and saved? YES! All born in the flesh have the opportunity to believe on Jesus Christ and be saved. But the condition and inner nature some are born with to work evil, was put in them, and they must overcome that and convert to Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. In the Revelation 3 version about the Church of Philadelphia, Jesus promised them that He would make those of the "synagogue of Satan" to bow in worship to Christ Jesus at their feet in His future Millennium reign.
