Maybe both. But that boat would not have held everybody. It was over 100 years and all we know is that only 8 souls heeded to the warning and did what God said. Why couldn’t they have just got on the ark with Noah and his family?
Do you believe Noah was trying to recruit workers, or was he saying get on the boat.
You’ll be safe?
I personally believe that the instructions given to Noah were given in the way they were because God knew that the present world would not listen and obey. The point is....Noah was saved by grace but not by grace alone. He was saved by grace through faith in that he was obedient to the directions given for salvation. Heb 11:7What was Noah’s message, work or get in the boat?
So how do you believe we save our (house) today?I personally believe that the instructions given to Noah were given in the way they were because God knew that the present world would not listen and obey. The point is....Noah was saved by grace but not by grace alone. He was saved by grace through faith in that he was obedient to the directions given for salvation. Heb 11:7

Where does it EVER say the HS worked within Noah?
God chose to work through Noah
What about Paul? Did he find grace in the eyes of the lord? Even while killing Christians? How is that?
Such a great Epistle, Ephesians! :)Ephesians 3:7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
It is interesting to me that because Noah believed and built the boat, he condemned the world. (Heb. 11:7) I believe that is a powerful statement.
Are they different? Everybody Noah preached to decided not to obey. It was only his family that obeyed and was saved physically from the flood. Those that did not obey both perished physically and spiritually in the flood because they did not do as God instructed. You cannot be saved eternally in disobedience to God.
The same way. Salvation for Noah was “in the ark”. Salvation today is “in Christ”. 2 Tim 2:10So how do you believe we save our (house) today?
No he didn’t but he did instruct the world to “believe and be baptized for salvation”. So are you going to mock and rail against this instruction are you going to believe and obey like the rest of the faithful?God never instructed the world to build the Ark.
Stranger
I believe John baptized with water and Jesus baptizes with fire. The same way. Salvation for Noah was “in the ark”. Salvation today is “in Christ”. 2 Tim 2:10
Noah had to have faith in God enough to do what he said. Today, God says that one must repent and be baptized for the remission of sins and that baptism places one “into Christ”. Rom 6:3,4; Gal 3:26,27
We are to have faith in God enough to do what he says. Most people don’t. Most people are just like in the days of Noah, they mock, ridicule and rail against anyone that would suggest that water has anything to do with your salvation. Which one are you?
The floods a cominI believe John baptized with water and Jesus baptizes with fire.
No more floods a comin'. Only global and cosmic supernatural fire. The floods a comin
Sounds like the ramblings of one who is thoroughly confused. Are you still hunting grails, Grailhunter? You should have a chat with king Arthur. It is good to have your family saved, but no spiritual salvation in Old Testament. Maybe Noah needed to send Christ a message, "No need to come as our savior! Don't need ya, we got it covered!" Noah only had one place to go, Shoal. Of course there is that prophet that said there were many mansion built for them in Heaven......Oh wait there was no prophet that told the Israelites that. Maybe if Noah sacrificed enough goats and lambs, then maybe God would take him to heaven. No wait that does not work either.

"In the time of King Arthur the quest for the Holy Grail was the highest spiritual pursuit for a knight."

This idea of....”saved by grace through faith” is probably the most misunderstood teaching in the NT.
The fact is.....all people from Adam to now are saved the exact same way, “by grace through faith.” This is not some Pauline doctrine that didn’t exist before Christ. When we look at Noah we will see that what I’m saying is true.
Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
.....Noah received grace from God. What did grace do? Did it save him right then and there? No. Grace did what grace always does, it instructs.
Titus 2:11,12 tells us that grace has appeared to ALL men TEACHING us.
What did grace do for Noah? It gave him the way of salvation through building a boat. What does grace do for us today? It gives us the way of salvation through the preaching of the gospel (believe, repent, confess, be baptized for remission of sins)
Genesis 6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
......Noah was obedient to the instruction given. As ludicrous and crazy as it must have sounded, Noah did it. And, what does the Bible call this? FAITH!
Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
......So, God through grace provided the way and Noah by faith was obedient and therefore ultimately was “saved by grace through faith”! A person is NEVER “saved by grace through faith” through mental acceptance alone. NEVER! You can’t just lay on your bed, shed some tears, say a prayer, and walk out a child of God, accepted by him unto salvation. Why? Because grace NEVER instructed anybody to do that for salvation.
