There is no indication that his vision came out of his past knowledge (not involvement) of New Age.

Where does your knowledge of New Age come from? This is not an attack, but you obviously have some knowledge of/about New Age. Does that taint everything you do as a follower of Christ?
My thought is that rather than recycling unresolved past experiences we should follow the example of Paul and drop the problematic matters of the past in favour of pursuing the hope filled truth of the future and our eternity in the high calling of God.

New Age stuff is in schools, churches, and media. Everywhere for decades, which is why there are many sermons and books warning Christians about the various mindsets and worldviews of this deception.

The book "Every Wind of Doctrine," authored by Hobart E. Freeman first published 1975, is a Christian work that examines various cults, unscriptural religious movements, false doctrines, and occult practices. Freeman's objective is to offer believers a deeper comprehension of these matters and to assist them in identifying and protecting themselves against false teachings.

Eph 4:11-14 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

So do you believe that if God gives a dream or vision, that is New Age and should be left behind? (I 100% disagree. God is not "New Age" nor are God-given dreams and visions "New Age.")

No one brought up New Age but you.

I see visions, so here is my take. The Holy Spirit will tell me to tell something to someone. This will be the spoken truth, not a "claim it". The person knows what I'm talking about. Saying claim it, isn't saying anything at all. Pentecostal's might use this buzz word to sound like prophesy but it's not. Crystals are used in new age religions. If you have read and book on Hinduism or similar, it can affect you. Unconsciously you can make a discission based on what you have read. I've seen that in my life with the devil himself. You need to do some self reflecting and find out. I've known of a Christian who came from drugs and alcohol. He was saved at church and rejoiced in his new life. That night he had headaches, and having a tough time. Friends came and prayed over him. He had a demon, that wasn't leaving easy. After praying over him it left. It was the demon causing the drug and alcohol abuse.

I rely on God for any divine guidance and such. I don't consult with nor use crystals or anything like that. I can understand why that question would be asked. Crystals are a natural thing found on the planet God created, but because there's been so many that uses them in weird ways, I can understand the questions. My initial interest in Crystals was when I went to get my text pager or old cell phone (can't remember which) a long time ago and the person doing the changing of the phone number and such said they had to do something with the crystals to adjust the frequency for my phone number or whatever (been so long I forgot the details), but I remembered thinking that was sooo fascinating and was amazed crystals were used in such ways. When you think about it, it's an amazing thing people can dial tones to tap into a frequency that finds your device wherever you're at in the world and talk through the air from one place to another. Just blows my mind to think about the wonders of that.

Amen. I agree. I'm glad you can discern between the good and the evil ...God made these things, but man with satan's influence has perverted things God made.

the person praying over me was actually squeezing my head to the point I felt like I was losing blood flow or something to my brain and felt like I was about to black out, when suddenly I had seen my first and only vision.
Sounds to me like they were trying to cut off the blood circulation to your brain to induce a hallucination.
