Okay. If you are going to choose to continue kneeling and worshiping statues of Mary and of Jesus, then I can't stop you. I have to respect your choice. Because I am older and closer to the judgement than you, I will find out first whether you or I are right, but I can't come back to tell you the result! :)
First off, do you understand what I am trying to tell you about the Mosaic Law?
Secondly we can both be right.
Assuming that you are a fundamentalist.....your understanding of Christianity as a whole is contained in the Bible. NOTHING wrong with that. The Bible contains the path to salvation. That is it period.
The Catholics have 2000 years of interaction with Christ and Mary....Christ and Mary continued on to give instruction to mold the Church into what He wanted. They visited the children of God, they gave instruction, performed miracles and healings, and continued to expand Christianity. None of this is your concern, it is your right to believe only what is in the Bible. But fundamentalists do not have a historical walk with God through history. They pick up the Bible and read about the first 65 years of Christianity and from the Word of God they can be saved.
The only real intellectual discussion is what is the benefit of knowing the 2000 year walk with Christ and Mary. If God told them to reverence Mary and you say no, who should they believe?
