I keep saying this but I do not think even smoke signals or Morse Code will work....
1. Christian do not get their morale code from the 613 Laws of Moses.
2. Most Christians do not even know the 613 Laws of Moses. What they call the commandments are only part of it.
3. Both the OT and NT indicate it is a great sin to dissect the Law and follow some and cast the others out.
4. If you break one of them, you break them all.
5. Christ explained trying to merge Christianity with Judaism would ruin them both.
6. Paul's ministry was dogged by Jews who wanted to bring the Law and Judaism into Christianity.
7. Paul's spoke throughout his ministry about Christians not following the Law.
8. He finally put a curse on those that that tried to bring the Law into Christianity....You have been severed from
Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the law, you have fallen from grace.
9. The first council of Jerusalem, that the apostles attended addressed this very issue and the ruling agreed with Paul.
10. There is no salvation in the OT, Christ teaching are superior to anything in the OT.

Now the class on idolatry and idols.....first assignment....look up the definition of these things.
Okay. If you are going to choose to continue kneeling and worshiping statues of Mary and of Jesus, then I can't stop you. I have to respect your choice. Because I am older and closer to the judgement than you, I will find out first whether you or I are right, but I can't come back to tell you the result! :-)

Okay. I won't flog a dead horse. Now don't get in a tizzy thinking that I am calling you a dead horse!! :D

If you have actually watched the video and decided that it is not your cup of tea, then I respect that, and just thank you for taking the time to watch it.
I passionately disagree with its evengelism approach.

First off, do you understand what I am trying to tell you about the Mosaic Law?

Secondly we can both be right.
Assuming that you are a fundamentalist.....your understanding of Christianity as a whole is contained in the Bible. NOTHING wrong with that. The Bible contains the path to salvation. That is it period.

The Catholics have 2000 years of interaction with Christ and Mary....Christ and Mary continued on to give instruction to mold the Church into what He wanted. They visited the children of God, they gave instruction, performed miracles and healings, and continued to expand Christianity. None of this is your concern, it is your right to believe only what is in the Bible. But fundamentalists do not have a historical walk with God through history. They pick up the Bible and read about the first 65 years of Christianity and from the Word of God they can be saved.

The only real intellectual discussion is what is the benefit of knowing the 2000 year walk with Christ and Mary. If God told them to reverence Mary and you say no, who should they believe?

Okay. Seems a bit strange to me though seeing that you have LDS elders going around door knocking sharing the LDS message. But I guess that is a different approach to a different type of evangelism - consisting on teaching about the LDS church ending with "closure" by being baptised into the church. But then this is a bit off topic I know.

As I said, if I fully agreed with you I would become a Roman Catholic, but I have no intention of doing that, because I don't need a pope to determine doctrine for me, nor do I need to be subject to any mortal priest to represent me to God, and I certainly don't need the fairy tale Mary to take my requests to Jesus.

But at least you are being civil and respectful in your responses to me, and I thank you for that.

Apples and puppies.

The difference in approach is HUGE. Respect and love are key. Acknowledging their right to believe as they do. Inviting. No threats or fear motivators ( like that dramatized broken elevator).

I am not Catholic....I do not agree with everything they believe....but have a blast fellowshipping with them.....I am not asking you to be a Catholic.....I am asking you to love them....you practice your religion in peace and they practice their religion in peace.

But Ray Comfort's approach is respectful, inviting, no threads or fear motivators from what I see from the many videos I have viewed of his evangelism. The difference with him is that he does not promote a church while LDS elders do.

The closest I will come is to be a Cataholic because of my love to my two cats and in memory of my dearly departed black and white cat Daisy.

If your understanding of Christianity is such that you cannot love other Christians, what have you learned of the love of Christ. We have enemies in this world, our enemies are not each other.

I don't think that disagreeing over doctrine is making enemies of each other. We can still be diametrically opposed doctrinally, but still have our unity based on our faith in Christ.

All I am doing is saying what the Bible says about how to be saved. I have tried to say it respectfully, but truthfully, yet I am having to receive nasty, spiteful, acidic abuse in return. But then, the mouth speaks what is really in the heart, doesn't it?

You call saying that Catholic teaching is like rat poison respectful?
You don't provide a shred of evidence for such a claim.
You don't enter in respectful dialogue, just post insulting memes and generally insult Catholics and their beliefs.

The truth is that the RCC is a deceptive fraud, pretending to be a Christian church. There is no "sugar coating" the truth, however unacceptable that might be to some.

That's not truth.
That's just your ignorance and bigotry speaking.

The references are at the end of each quote. You can google them and they should come up on a number of Catholic sites.

What you appear to be saying is that they are NOT on the Vatican web site; that they are not authoritative Catholic teaching.

If you have links then give them and prove me wrong.

@Paul Christensen
Looking through your posts I see a lot of (false) accusations against Catholics.
What I don't see is any evidence, particularly biblical evidence, supporting those accusations.
Not do I see any attempt to engage in discussion on any point.

That is a false accusation that makes what you are saying is a lie, because you deliberately have misrepresented what I actually posted. I never said that Catholic teaching is entirely rat poison, but that a small proportion that is extra-Biblical is, like idolatrous kneeling and worshiping statues of Mary, praying to the Eucharist host, making prayers to the Queen of Heaven which is paganism, teaching that all Protestants are to be excommunicated from the body of Christ. These are poisonous doctrines which will corrupt a person's faith and are the equivalent of the 1% rat poison in what is otherwise good food for rats. If you believe these doctrines then I wouldn't like to be you when judgment day comes.
