Yes,David after his sin with Bathsheba. All of Psalm 51 talks of his woeful self after his sinning.
12Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Psalm 51:12
By fellowship with God, I am talking about the peace and joy we have inwardly with the Lord.
I love how god restored and confronted him also.. i have seen that tactic used a few times on people. where you talk as if you’re talking about someone else. To get the person to confess it is a sin. Then to say that person is you.
It’s hard to hide sin, and when you are truly gods, when it is finally exposed. It is so amazingly freeing.. Although David had to live with his sin the rest of his life..
while the penalty of sin was already gone, the consequence of sin can be ongoing
