Dimming the sun will affect everything plant like that grows on land or sea.
If it actually works, the loss of plant life is worse than making temperatures drop.
And I figure if it works, the follow on effects won't be good.

Mimick what happens when a major volcano blows off and the results can be disastrous for all life.

The year 1816 is known as the Year Without a Summer because of severe climate abnormalities that caused average global temperatures to decrease by 0.4–0.7 °C (0.7–1 °F).[1] Summer temperatures in Europe were the coldest of any on record between 1766 and 2000,[2] resulting in crop failures and major food shortages across the Northern Hemisphere.[3]

Evidence suggests that the anomaly was predominantly a volcanic winter event caused by the massive 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora in April in modern-day Indonesia (commonly referred to as the Dutch East Indies at the time). This eruption was the largest in at least 1,300 years (after the hypothesized eruption causing the volcanic winter of 536); its effect on the climate may have been exacerbated by the 1814 eruption of Mayon in the Philippines. The significant amount of volcanic ash and gases released into the atmosphere blocked sunlight, leading to global cooling.

Countries such as the United Kingdom and France experienced significant hardship, with food riots and famine becoming common. The situation was exacerbated by the fact that Europe was still recovering from the Napoleonic Wars, adding to the socio-economic stress.

North America also faced extreme weather conditions. In the eastern United States, a persistent "dry fog" dimmed the sunlight, causing unusual cold and frost throughout the summer months. Crops failed in regions like New England, leading to food shortages and economic distress. These conditions forced many families to leave their homes in search of better farming opportunities, contributing to Westward expansion.

We don't need their final solution of death resulting from global dimming of the sun, we just need to stop their global warming madness obsessions. I keep thinking we have, but their ideology keeps rising like zombies from the dead.

What can possibly go wrong? Everything. The sheer lunacy of the UK government is astounding. This is the irrational decision making of a society on the verge of collapse.

Thank you for these posts.

Their experiment will likely engender a local change in the weather patterns, which might could have large scale effects. Ironic, since for a while these lunatics were concerned about “climate change.” But now we are back to “preventing” global warming. . They have managed to suppress sane discussions about global climate.

Well, congrats to them: these pagans have succeeded in convincing their government to give them a $66M offering to their gods.

Peace.

I don't think their goal is to benefit the vast majority of a vast number of people.
I think their goal is to eliminate the vast majority of people, to restore humanity into a 'sustainable' number of persons, which to them is only 500 million people alive at any particular moment in time.
They are big on the ideology of sustainability.
Which means you and I are not wanted or needed.
If what they do can create hunger, disrupt the environment and make life harsher, then that to them is a worthy goal.

Being antichrists, they do not like it that people are doing the will of God as is,
Genesis 1
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that [a]moves on the earth.”

Fill and subdue the earth, they especially don't agree with.

Which God did not change His mind about after the flood.
Genesis 9
So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.

You are mostly correct—the atheists whose faith is godless evolution, see humans not only as just another species, but as an intrinsically destructive species which must be thinned (or even eliminated). They are often childless and proponents of abortion on demand.

But there are plenty of fellow travelers who see themselves as elites, taking advantage of every false belief to accrue power, prestige, and wealth for themselves. They have no hesitation about taking luxury, carbon-spewing travel, buying multiple houses (on picturesque shores), throwing lavish parties, and tapping into government resources.

Fortunately, God is sovereign.

Blessings!

And so it starts.

Revelation 6:12-14 - I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood. 13 Then the stars of the sky fell to the earth like green figs falling from a tree shaken by a strong wind. 14 The sky was rolled up like a scroll, and all of the mountains and islands were moved from their places.

Ahh, the Day of Vengeance of our God

15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, [j]the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

I was reading of a new mental illness, eco-anxiety.

The climate is always changing.
Trying to control the climate won't make things better.

Video showing this.

If they did find a way to dim the sun here in the UK they would only need to do it for about one week a year.
What goes up, must come down. The predictability cannot be measured. What if, say, the sulfate settles on a lake, and gets in the water, the fish will have a cooler water and their bio clock stops reproducing. Many unpredictable things could be triggered off, just one time.

Clouds already do that where I live.
True, and prayer works also. We had a drought, and our lakes were low and it was a hot summer and water usage was high. It was getting desperate. The Governor and many pastors stood on the capital steps and prayed for rain. Then it rained for 2 weeks over Lake Lanier in Georgia, mostly over the lake. It filled it up completely. Prayer works.
