What is truth? Truth to some is what they believe, with all the scriptural backing. Religion has their certain amount of truth scriptures to prove their point and their religion right. Truth to some is how they think and act out their truth! such as keeping certain days holy, looking religious and so on.

The bible is full of what truth is but some how it can get neglected into a certain way of believing. Human being are exactly that, human, and with that we can still know truth.

According to the scriptures Jesus said "I am the Truth".

The Apostle Paul never separates truth, from being "in Christ".

The verse in Gal. 2 ; I am crucified with Christ, is the starting place for Christian truth. The death of the old man is the starting place of knowing all truth as a person.
Paul never separates you from Christ, over 150 times he stated the truth of Christ as life, and the only life of the believer. We have stated more than a few times "what you believe is not what saves you, it is in whom you believe." We believe in the finsished work of the cross, but watch what you build on that foundation as your truth.

Paul determined to know nothing "but Christ crucified"

Paul's spiritual knowledge being passed on to bonified born again believers should not be gleaned over, but looked at and studied until the HolySpirit has something to work with.

The truth is found in Christ. We can only know that truth by entering into Christ. We know we have entered into Christ when everything becomes new...a new power, light, love, and a deep joy. The truth is that God is love. We discover that love when we enter into Christ....truth. There is another dimension in this world which is by the Spirit...which is God's love. When we walk in the Spirit we walk in His love. So then the 4th dimension of the Spirit is love.

Truth = reality understood. = God who created all must reveal it. = scripture properly balanced and understood.

IOW...a paper book....but no actual knowledge of the living God. Formulating an opinion based on a choosing of doctrinal positions invented by men....is not the same as eternal life in the Spirit which is according to the truth....the truth who is the living word of God.

The letter kills but the Spirit gives life. The letter gives people an illusion of truth which is in unreality...having no power but the power to deceive. The end of which is death.

There is a way that seems right to a man...

Only God who created all truthfully knows all along with those to whom he reveals it. He limits this revelation to scripture alone and even then, only the born again can balance it correctly to draw truth from it.

the truth who is the living word of God.
True, the truth is not a what, but a who, the OP answered it,
According to the scriptures Jesus said "I am the Truth".
which he is, and the word he speak is spirit, and "LIFE". John 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Thank God for His word, its a light, a lamp for life. We get our ideas, I know I do and then the word of God so gently brings in the reality by being very point blank and easy to read and understand as it is written. Scriptures such as;

John 1:1,14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

It so easily cuts through all that have different claims about the bible. You are left with, you either believe it or not. It has stood the test of time, and for those that believe it come to realize it is a life line, inerrant and does not contradict it self. It lives it moves, and we have our being in the deep spiritual understanding that is revealed from it. I thank my Father daily in this crazy world we can have peace that passes all understanding that the written word proclaims for His children.

I like this part of your response { Truth = Reality } one could read into the Scripture, I Am the Way, The Reality and the Life, and it would hold true!

We were studying Galatians recently in our local church Bible study.

The trouble with a lot of North American "evangelicalism" is that the yardstick for truth seems to be something along the lines of: "This is what the Bible means to me", rather than: "What saith the Scriptures?" The second is exegesis (getting the meaning from the text of Scripture); the first is eisegesis (me reading my meaning into Scripture).

....or both!! :D

Many verses are very meaningful to me ...in 55years God has spoken some really precious things to me, in my ‘hour of need’.

Does it have to be “either v or” ?
I think God speaks on many different level through the same verse , at different times of our life .
