you know I was thinking about this earlier - it’s a bit of a conundrum. For the last four years, and after the last election. Nearly everyone on here complained, moaned, shouted ‘ stolen election ‘ - but , if Gods will is believed in this years result, then surely the last four years were equally part of Gods will.

Out of interest , can Kamila catch up or does Trump just have to get to a certain number. Last time it took days before a result was finally known, didn’t it hinge on a few big states - not sure how it works over in the US

Just on our local news today, Governor Newsom is going to Trump proof California law.

Newsom is the one who just a few weeks before the election, passed a law about no ID required to vote. So all of the illegals could vote for Kamala, of course.

Why does it take so long …Jan 20th , never understood that part - guess I am use to an election and the new leader takes office the next day - but then again we don’t have all the pomp and ceremony , the only thing that happens is a visit to the Palace to officially ask to form a government.

Yes, that happens here as well but It doesn’t take months - a new cabinet is put together in the days that follow - but off course we are a much smaller country. However I would think that all about the pomp and ceremony would take planning.

"Former" is not an official title. President is official. The presenter can say "former" President, but its not official.

It's for the orderly transfer of power. The new administration takes over and begins the staffing and training. Just think of the massive undertaking to take over the government of the USA in 2 months. Don't forget some traitors are always ready to take down a new administration.

Yes . But i was talking about the election season itself . man is it a serious money making machine .
