I'm also confused, why shouldn't the proud boys take to the streets. I'm not really sure who they are or what their history is, but from what I've read so far they just are pro-USA.

They seem to have broken away from the "alt-right" over race with too many "alt-right" groups adopting a too obviously racist stance. One of their leaders lost his position after saying he was proud of being white.
The FBI may have created some of the confusion since it first said the Proud Boys as an extremist groups with ties to white nationalism. There are "ties" here and there -- but the FBI backtracked on that, saying the white ties shouldn't have been mentioned.
They appear to be the right's version of the left's Antifa. Both groups like to show up at events and cause trouble. They show up, and like Antifa, enjoy using violence against others. One was just arrested:

The 50-year-old is facing 12 total charges, including multiple for assault, unlawful use of a weapon, pointing a firearm at another person and unlawful use of mace. . . .
Swinney also used the same substance while attending a pro-Trump rally in Portland on August 22. Videos posted on social media show he pointed a paintball gun at counter-protesters on the same day — at one point, firing off a paintball and hurting another person once again. . . .
In early September, Swinney was sued for $250,000 after allegedly shooting a woman in the chest with a paintball gun during the August 22 rally in Portland.
According to court documents, Meg McLain says she was peacefully observing a rally outside the Justice Center on the afternoon of August 22. Shortly before 1 p.m., a man at the rally, identified as Alan Swinney, allegedly “opened fire” and intentionally shot her in the chest with a paintball. In the lawsuit she filed on Monday, McLain says this caused her pain, discomfort, distress and interfered with daily life activities.
Court documents included a photo of a paint-stained jacket McLain was wearing at the time along with a photo of a large, red welt on one of McLain’s breasts, which she says was a result of the paintball.
McLain attested that she quickly notified police of the incident but they did not arrest Swinney. Documents also included a screenshot of a social media post they say is from Swinney — in which he says, in part, “Whoever’s in charge in Portland can f—- all the way off. You’re not going to tell me how I can defend myself.”
The lawsuit alleged Swinney has shown a previous history of irresponsible gun ownership, such as “traveling to Oregon to organize substantial and purposefully violent rallies and events.”
A short time later, more videos were posted that captured Swinney aiming a real gun into the crowd. No shots were fired, but he is now facing charges stemming from the incident and his other actions throughout the day.

Are you deliberately trying to be dishonest here? I think you are....a hit job on Trump...your thread and focus on Trump saying to the 'Proud Boys' to 'stand back and 'standby' is the result of the Wallace and Biden's gang warfare of words as the last attack on him...it was quite obvious.
The last minute of the debate and Wallace and Biden could not wait to corner Trump. If you looked at the debate again and played this segment back very carefully, you would see and hear who said what, when and why. This last minute was a deliberate planned effort by Wallace and Biden to indirectly call Trump a white supremacist supporter even though Biden, NOT Wallace mentioned the 'Proud Boys' after Wallace already said to Trump to condemn ..to condemn White Supremacy. The link of WS to the PBs was obvious and unforgivable. I would have written an OP to condemn the deliberate spineless attempt of both Wallace and Biden to place him in a corner that was not warranted.
Wallace and Biden both know that BLM and Antifa are Communist radicals....the Proud Boys love their country and love their beer.
So, the issue should not be what Trump said concerning the PBs. The issue is that Wallace and Biden cannot be counted on to tell the truth..they are chronic liars.....Wallace used to mock Trump in public interviews in the 80s....he has not changed one bit.

:) And yeah I've been watching the news, it's a joke in Seattle and Washington, unless you're the one getting robbed and burned and beaten by BLM and Antifa, then you would probably welcome the proud boys to help out. And there are plenty of Christians that believe women shouldn't speak in church, I'm technically not one of them, but sure plenty of people in the spirit of the proud boys are Christian.

The Proud Boys aren't a white supremacist group but they are certainly male chauvinists and sexist. After researching their organization online, I definitely agree that the organization is very misogynist as well. Islamophobic and xenophobic are also terms that well describe the group too.
Yeah that's what I found also. I'm against misogynist and zenophobic ideas sooooo..... but hey, the Pres might align with something like that, but I don't think he is either way too much. Probably just some of his policies look that way.
