The end times talk of severe turmoil, upheaval as the powers of the heavens are shaken.
The Coming of the Son of Man
25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28
Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
And at the end of the end, before the age of the resurrection ....
People will long for peace, the antichrist gives them a false sense of peace and safety, then comes the overwhelming sudden destruction from Almighty God in judgement against the wicked people of that DAY on the DAY of the LORD, the Last Day. By fire the end will come.
1 Thess 5
5 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others
do, but let us watch and be [
a]sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and
as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
11 Therefore [
b]comfort each other and [
c]edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Luke 20, did you know the Last Day is the resurrection of the righteous dead who died in the Lord?
There is actually a LAST DAY coming.
34 Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
John 11:24
Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the
last day.”
John 6:39
This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up at the last day.
John 6:40
And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
John 6:44
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:54
Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
