What has become clear is not who Trump is but how many people want the overthrow of democracy and the
installation of a theocracy, ie Christian Nationalism.
This is no longer about Trump but the split between how a nation should be run.
The society has changed from the cities and intellectuals, university trained individuals and those
out in the country spread across many different communities which traditionally have been very
conservative.
The difficulty with cities is exsposure to many different cultures and views on life changes ones foundations
culturally and makes you look at things differently. This divide has not been recognised by the educated
political elite, which by nature of the process has changed them from their roots.
In a kind of way this tension is inevitable, and also a learning experience for both sides. To turn this into
hatred, violence and antagonism helps no one.
This is also why the Lord calls us to love our enemies, because we are our biggest enemy. Until we can see
the differences, we are blind and end up condemning ourselves to repeat the same problems we criticize others
