I used to get my watches serviced by an aging repairman at a local mall
until the day finally came when I could no longer tolerate his manners. He
was around seventy-five years old, cantankerous as can be, and perpetually
cross. I often felt like asking him if he ever gave any thought to his future.
You know, heaven is a place of peace. A hateful man like that repairman
would not only never fit in there, but it wouldn't be fair to the others to
permit him in their world.

"Cantankerous" can be defined as: habitually ill-humored, irritable,
disagreeable, bearish, cankered, cranky, cross-grained, dour, morose, sour;
crabby, cross, crusty, huffy, petulant, prickly, snappish; dyspeptic, ill
conditioned, thin-skinned, complaining, and ill-natured.

A Christian man in old age really ought to be a sweet, mellow guy: a pal and
a big brother for the younger ones rather than somebody they'd prefer do
the world a favor by stepping in front of a bus.

I have found old men that were cross to be missunderstood ! one old chap a Slavic Painter and also a Slavic Tiler was totaly hated by all of the Australians on all of the job sights i seen him on, they would say to me, why do you talk to that bastard.

Well I am a contractor and i may have to talk to anyone in fact, as I am not just a wage earner who has no regard for anything much at all really and some contractors can be like that as well, but I am willing to talk to anyone !

I find that stupid ignorant people find it hard to talk or relate to others for they lack the skills or are ignorant.

Yes they were not one to get on with but i could talk to them just fine and I loved to debate them on any topic. and they were not stupid people at all !
They just hated stupid people. I seen the same type of atittude in Aussies who served in War.
They really are nice people once you have earned their respect, sure they maybe on edge 24/7 but i can put that aside as long as they do not do the wrong thing by me, and you may find that they do not have any such intent at all to anyone.

But what does get on my goat is people who are gutless and have to lie to try and save face, who will do wrong with no regard and you find such people are the type that it's all about themselves ! they lack a work ethic and are lazy and do 3rd rate work and have never had to deal with any hardship truly but for what they have brought all on themselves in fact, from being a deralict idiot ! for they reap what they Sow ! drammer queens ! never will they work their way up out of their issue for themselves for they are the toxic issue in fact !

Some people in are in pain 24/7 also, so they are snappy old dudes but you have to understand such in fact, just like you may go to pet an old dog that does not know you and it snaps at you to keep away from it ?

Old people can be a pain, because they are in pain ! any one should keep that in mind when dealing with them. I do not take such to offend me at all. i just dismiss such and procced regardless.

Boy i never seen older people looking up to younger people much ever, not even when i was a Child the elder kids did not look towards younger with much conviction to be nice or respectful, but disrespectful or disregard or liked to stand over you or try and use you ? but their is a way to deal with such ?
