Any fans of the former TV show ‘Touched by an Angel’ (1994 - 2003)?

It is available now on Amazon Prime.

Bit of tongue-in-cheek humor: Monica is relating some of her history to a person—

“I started in the choir; everyone starts in the choir. Then for a few centuries my job was to say, ‘Behold! . . .’ .”

This last angel “assignment” struck me as quite funny. (But consistent with dutifully carrying out our daily tasks, no matter how small they seem, if that is God’s will.)

Blessings.

I used to watch it. I understand Della Reese was ordained. And the gal that played the younger angel is a Christian. I think her husband is, too.

Remember Highway to Heaven? Wasn't that the one with Michael Landon? I think he played an angel, too.

All of the above series had a good story that could help people to consider God in their lives.

I have watched both Highway to heaven and Touched by an angel over the years , think they are still on some of the streaming options over here. They have aged a bit, but i find many truths within their storylines. I found myself watch Little house on the prairie the other day - that was a blast from the past !

@Rita ~

We don’t subscribe to cable, nor have or watch regular TV programing… but do buy particular cd TV series and movies.

We have the “Little House, Touched by an Angel and Highway to Heaven…” series and have enjoyed them over the years. Good moral stories. Good for when we have little kids and teens here for a few days.

Glory to God,

I haven’t had a dvd playing for some years , really need to get one again. I tend to watch things on my iPad and like having the choice As I like to watch things on catch up So that I can watch a whole series rather than waiting for an episode each week. The downside is that things only stay on the streaming service for so long.

I don't pay for any streaming and don't have cable.

Check out Tubi...app or website. Thousands of different movies and TV shows, including faith and family categories. Tubi is really good.

If you have a smart TV, you can cast it to your TV to watch. I watch on my tablet as I don't have a smart TV.

Tubi has Highway to Heaven episodes and Touched by an Angel too I think but no Little House.

There was another series I iked too, with Richard Thomas. It's a Miracle I think. One kid got lost in the snowy woods and went to sleep and got woke up by a herd of Elk which all cuddled up to him so he was warm! Now that was super cool! That would be a small thing for God to do so the boy didnt get hypothermic! That's my favorite episode.

Never heard of Tubi, but just checked and it was launched over here in July this year. Not sure why it is free, unless you have to pay for films, otherwise how do they make money from it ? ( ads maybe ?)
I might check it out x

Yeah they have ads built into the movie, lol. They always find a way. You can't skip them either!

The ads are very brief (like 25 seconds) and not too often.

Tubi has such a gigantic section of movies, TV shows, cooking shows, all sorts of things to watch. Besides scanning the categories, you can also type in movie names and actor names to see what is available...in the Explore search.

I recently watched the remake of Ben Hur at Tubi. They also have the old original Ben Hur. They have a section of classic movies, too.

I only use my phone, (no larger iPad or computer screen.). No way want to watch a movie on phone…lol. Like owning a series…they are relatively short episodes 30 or 50 minutes, which works well, as we spend majority of awake time outside.

God bless you.

I very rarely sign up for apps…and if it says “free” seems it has an irritating “catch”….!!!

Tubi is a very well known app and website for watching free movies and more. I've been signed up with them for several years or more.

I don't mind the ads since they are very brief.

@Rita Most of the movies have a trailer you can watch to see if you would like the movie.

I don’t particularly like the ads but more so the fine print “rules” of what you have to “agree” with, when I do not.

For example the popular media outlet Tik Tok is owned by a Chinese Co., thus the individual subscribed is doing business with that owner, according to “their” rules.
And the “subscribing” also means, you have to keep up with the continual buying and selling of the Company owners…and “their” “honorable” (ha, ha) employees. Same why I do not bank online, or use technology “connivence” for all kinds of other personal information record keeping. Just my preference.

I don’t know what I would do without online banking - it was so helpful when I was caring for my dad and working full time - I won’t get the banking app on my phone though, only on my iPad which very rarely leaves my house.
