That's a thing that takes courage to admit.

Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation, and it takes a long time to develop into the new person, I think. It is not always immediate and it wasn't for me. If I wasn't so broken and alone, I think it would have been sooner, but turned around better for having only Jesus to rely on- and he was 100% the only one. It seems to me like God has taken care of you and turned you around to be used for his good!

How has this comment not received a like yet? I would like it a million times if I could. Praise God!!!! (I can rely on other people, but Jesus is my number one.)

I wish I could go back and say I had ADHD.
I wish I could have understood myself better.
I wish someone could have told me that girls with ADHD are more likely to experience teen pregnancy. (Consider 15% vs 2% non ADHD)

I wish I would have waited for marriage most of all. I wish I was more choosey. I wish I didn't reproduce with any Elaines.

In my opinion, you are a round peg that they insisted on trying to cram into a square hole. In other words, you are highly intelligent. Our Napoleon-based education system doesn't like different, even if it can greatly benefit them. At least it didn't.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Mine...

1. You cannot put a whole egg in the microwave and expect it to come out boiled egg. It will explode.
2. Boiling the pot on the stove for over an hour to get out the burned stuff on the bottom will not fix it. It will melt the pot into the stove.
3. Cover up. It's off-putting.
4. Never let a 17-year-old perm your hair. It will fall out.
5. Don't let grandma go to the church Christmas dinner wearing festive Santa velvet baby doll "nightwear" over her outfit because you think it's funny. She will get upset after.

I would tell my younger self that there are some very evil people in this world who wouldn't think twice about hurting me or killing me, to not be so trusting, to be more on guard, to take up for myself, to have very strong faith and trust in God no matter what happens.
