The Prophecy of the Popes (Latin: Prophetia Sancti Malachiae Archiepiscopi, de Summis Pontificibus, "Prophecy of Saint-Archbishop Malachy, concerning the Supreme Pontiffs") is a series of 112 short, cryptic phrases in Latin which purport to predict the Catholic popes (along with a few antipopes), beginning with Celestine II. It was first published in 1595 by Benedictine monk Arnold Wion, who attributed the prophecy to Saint Malachy, a 12th-century Archbishop of Armagh.

The prophecy predicted 112 popes and that Rome would be destroyed during the reign of the 112th. The recent death of St Francis has turned the prophecy on it's head. Unless Rome is destroyed before the next pope is elected, we must all conclude that the prophecy is false. However, I am sure the subscribers to the work will offer up some loophole on why there could be another pope. What say you?

Maybe this will put to rest the notion that the false prophet was to be the last pope. My guess is they will probably say that st
Francis will be resurrected to keep their hope alive.

The prophecy of the popes by Archbishop Malachy - is something that Catholics would be more likely to consider. Not non-Catholics.

I am non-denominational, so the prophecy about Petrus Romanus (Peter of Rome) being the last pope has no credibility with me.

If there is a lack of wisdom and only political, chances are there will be a split in the Catholic church with the next Pope. Which is simmering right now. A conservative pope could patch it up, but a liberal pope will tear it down.

I think, from the You Tube videos I have watched, that the process to select the next pope begins in a couple of weeks. Who-ever it it turns out to be, I don't think he will be titled Pope Petrus Romanus.

The Cardinals come and gather (15 - 20 days after 4/21), then vote for a new Pope until 2/3 agree. So by third week of May or so and Rome will be destroyed ... if the prophecy was true.

Isn't the Vatican the only city effected by the Pope, not Rome? If so, Rome could be destroyed, and the Vatican remains. Unless the last Pope is named Peter then the Prophesy null and void. (referring to Peter the Roman)

There is more tied to the Prophecy. The city with seven hills refers to Rome; but death of the last Pope signals the Great Tribulation - destruction everywhere.
Pope Francis, in God's eyes, may be Pope Peter. You see, Fancis of Assisi was born
Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone -- not Francis. His father (Pietro btw) was not a believer, did not want his son to have a Christian name and he was out of the country at the time of his birth - in France. He was upset upon his return that his wife, a believer, already named and baptized him apparently. So he changed his name to Francis.

In that case, I can't wait for Jesus to come get me. Come on tribulation.

Did he call himself the Pope ? I do not think that he himself did ? He called himself the Bishop of Rome.

This so called Pope had no regard for Christ Jesus ! he was a Freemason and a Jesuit and Jesuits are not alowed to become Popes in the RCC by Law ?

This so called Pope did not work within the rules of what a Pope should do in fact, he never explained possitions that he took, like all Popes before him had to explain in total detail why any change was so.

Others within the top possitions had called out all of this nonsense that this fool got away with ! but for this world he could get away with all such as the MSM turned a blind eye to it all in fact !
He never did the Job of a Pope had to do in explaining in detail why he suported for Gay nonsense etc.
He was asked within from the top people but they got no answer in regards why at all !
So it's not doctrine of the RCC in fact !
It's only him his own possition only. because he failed to do the correct job in explaining as all Popes had to do.

So he never was the Pope ?

He was called the peoples Pope ? now what does that truly mean ? Nothing to do with Christ Jesus is it in fact !

The people expressed by the MSM do not represent God in fact ! seriously ? They don't ! yes he was clearly only the peoples Pope ! that's why he was not hounded 24/7 by the MSM like every other Pope I knew.

They bumped him off at the time of their choice, just to try and make him look Saintly and they are playing on that !

It won't be a popular thing to say, but it's no coincidence that he passed on the night of "easter." The elite cult love these ritual dates for deaths to occur,

I have watched the Catholics somewhat since before John Paul. (One got voted in but immediately died before John Paul by forgetting to take his heart medication during his inauguration)

And the current slate of Cardinals are NOT going to provide in a new Pope what your common rank and file Catholics are going to accept. Most Catholics actually accepted Ratzinger. They grumbled about his desires for them to know scriptures and doctrines....but went along with it while the scandal of homosexual priests and sexual assault of children was coming out. He resigned to save someone....he was the last true pope. Ratzinger grumbled about all the liberal Cardinals that created the whole scandal to begin with. (Big secret is that it used to be just the nuns that got pregnant occasionally...now it's little boys that become Cardinals lovers....)

I'd dare say the prophesy is true at this point. The list of proposed popes are all "liberal" and not conservative in the slightest. I expect more women openly lesbian priests to come forward and transsexual priests and nuns. (Oh yeah) The sweat shops and slave labor enterprises owned by Cardinals and Bishops to continue operations as always.

The REAL work performed by the local parish of altruistic endeavors completely ignored and forgotten. No altruism competitions will be held anymore....just a bunch of pushes to aggrandize the hierarchical structure.

The conservative members of the Catholic Church who do so many good things in our communities will be forgotten and abused.

So....as a result I forsee yet a 3rd or fourth split of the Catholic Church coming. Just like what has happened in the past. And what happened with the Methodists most recently.
The Vatican is a storehouse of antiquities kept in secret that no one has seen. They horde them to keep them secret. They are not exactly liquid assets but do contain lots of historical value and knowledge they do not want out. Could this be the start of the information coming out?
