This railroad bridge used to be part of my morning commute. Despite warning signs and height sensors, I had my commute disrupted by trucks wedged under that bridge at least 5 times. Peels 'em back like a sardine can.
Here's another one which used to be part of my commute to work in Trafford Park. Was always happening. The bridge is carrying the Bridgewater Canal across Barton Lane Eccles Manchester. A bit further on to the left of the pic there is an aqueduct which carries it over the Manchester Ship Canal and which swings to let the big ships through. Part of my childhood.

There's a small town south of us. The main highway passes through its five mile stretch and there's a speed trap at their half way point.
A few blocks before that a guy put up a home-made wooden sign in his front yard warning drivers what waited ahead.It was there warning folks for years.
Then the local sheriff decided to try and intimidate the landowner so he'd remove it.
And,so he did.
He broke the sign up. Right beside it he installed an electric sign like that pictured.
He put an arrow first so that it pointed to the debris beside it.
"FREE WOOD! The sheriff said I could no longer warn drivers of the speed trap ahead."
It's still there. I noticed he puts new wood slats where the old destroyed wood sign debris was.
Turns out the sheriff is his cousin.
