No flesh, only Christ counts. Nothing else.

Much love!

Yes! There is no sin AT ALL in holiness.
In righteousness, missing the mark is expected at times. The scriptures are for training in righteousness.
But there is no sin at all in Gods holiness.
Thats why: Therefore I tell you, every sin andblasphemy will be forgiven men, but theblasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.…

Why not "training in holiness"? Why does God not "train us" in holiness?

Much love!

Because there is only One holy. Men don’t learn how to be holy, they learn righteousness.
God has to take a man into HIS holiness, if He chooses to.
But it’s not bad news! God accepts righteous men. He makes a place for them. He decides where everyone will sit.

What does that mean to you, that God takes a man into His holiness? And by what means may a man be found righteous by God?

Much love!

Do you ever sin?
A righteous man, though he falls seven times, gets back up.
In his righteousness he sins? How do you account for that? Isn't that a diluted righteousness? There must be more to the answer than that.

Much love!

God accepts righteous men.
God accepts 1 Righteous Man, and those who are in Him. Consider Cornelius, declared righteous, yet still he had to be born again. Others as well. Paul cited himself, according to the Law, blameless. Yet he had to be baptized into Christ, to receive the righteousness of God, by faith, eschewing his own righteousness - that righteousness under the Law - as manure.

What did he know that we don't know? About righteousness?

Much love!

Actually, I think we’re supposed to be training in life for when we finally do not have sin. That’s one of the overlaps between righteousness and holiness.

You mean…But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.

you do those things that lead to holiness. But men insist they’ve already reached that. And the moment they believed, no less!

hmm…a diluted righteousness? That’s kind of interesting…like, it is possible to do something right but have some flesh mixed up in it? To have some of a purer motive and still some of a baser motive mixed in?

I had looked at more like I sometimes do the right think but I sometimes do the wrong thing but…

At any right, that’s not holiness. That is definite.

I think we are in training to overcome sin now. By faith we overcome sin, and the flesh, and the world. We are maturing in faith, and the more consistently we trust Him, the more consistently we live according to His intent for us.

His intent is what makes us holy - set apart to serve Him. But He uses the common, and the worthless, to show the world that doesn't matter, it's all Him. And He has His ways in each of us to remake our minds to stop thinking the old ways, and learn to think the new ways. And so we remain sometimes "in process". So we see our failings, but that's what "we see", and our walk is by faith and not by sight, and faith is in Christ, and not in ourselves.

Much love!
