"Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God;" - 1 Thess. 4:1

"So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God."
- Rom. 8:8

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." - 2 Tim. 2:15

"Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him."-2 Cor. 5:9

"that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;" - Col. 1:10

"Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord."- Col. 3:20

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." - Heb. 11:6

"And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight." - 1 Jhn 3:22

It's painfully obvious Romanists don't understand what the OT or NT teaches at all, and it's easy to see why: they don't want a religion that requires them to live God's way(Rom. 8:7), so they make up ridiculous doctrines to justify their liberal lifestyles. No matter how anyone uses the Bible to camouflage these doctrines as Christian, it's still easy to recognize the hostility toward God and His authority. Christ lived to please the Father, and true Christians strive to follow His example.

What was finished on the cross? The finished part in God is; man's efforts to please God. From the creation of time..man had to please God. Read the Old Testament and see how men had to please God by what they did. Abraham had to please God..Moses.. and David.. and the prophets of old, all had to please God.

That came to an abrupt halt by the cross. God has made it possible for mankind to be reconciled back to himself and there would be no more self works. There was no reconciliation in the Old Testament. Only a covering of sin which had to be covered periodically, yearly, and never a reconciliation of man back to God. They had to use scapegoats, a lamb or a ram, without spot or blemish (sound familiar - God's lamb had no spot or wrinkle - as in a sin nature). Several symbolic gestures of the coming of a savior.

You know why religion doesn't like our gospel! It is written right there; there is nothing to do..it is all finished from the foundation of the world. Noting to do in Paul's gospel maybe some other gospel but not in Paul's gospel. There is no self effort and no works in Paul's gospel for - the pleasing of God. No giving your money, dime on a dollar (man implimented using self effort as a blessing), nothing zilch. Nothing to do to please God. Never will be..and never has been since the cross. You see how important the birthing is now and to understand it. If you don't understand being born again or the birthing you will live like an Old Testament saint. At least you will think you are living a life that is pleasing to God or not pleasing to God most of the time. Those that live under the law, live with the continuation of condemnation all the days of their life..their law life. The law is automatically fixed in an individual it comes through life.. culture.. religion.. teaching in the home. If you remember when you were young your mother or your father would say do not touch that.. it is hot. What is that? That is a law being instituted in you to know if you touch that it is going to be hot and burn you. That is how religion works; it is the law being fixed in you. That is how the law gets fixed in people..the law is not a bad thing..but the law was given to expose sin..not to live by..because there - IS NO LIFE IN THE LAW.

Life is only in the Son:

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. - 1 John 5:11-12.

What you do now; you do out of love. Why would someone want to go to third world country.. Afghanistan (being a hot spot now) ..Asia or some far away hard place.. what makes a person do what they do. It is either going to be based on a law mind, or love. Not because you have to do what you do ..but because of love you do what you do. Same with the man/woman right outside your door that may need help...a loved one - relative - family - friends. You do what you do out of love - no longer having to do anything to please God.

That is the other gospel of doing to please God. Do-er relgion! The perverted gospel..the gospel that says you are never complete in him and you must do something to work toward that completion and to please him. The gospel perverted:

which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. - Galatians 1:7.

-- The definition of religion is; -- man trying to please God --

We can be so decieved in mind we think we can still please God. The Old Testament consists of four thousand years of man never pleasing God. Don't you think if man could have pleased God they would have done it in the span of four thousand years. We don't think like that, we think different, we think we are different. Do you know what didn't please God in the Old Testament? That disobedient sin nature that was an Adam and now in all Humanity. That was the displeasure of God. He did not hate the sinner he hated the sin. That sin that came from the original sinner that rebellious creation of God known as Lucifer. He is the sinner from the beginning.

Remember God is dealing with the root of all bad..and the root of all good. The two seeds:

15 and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. - Genesis 3:15.

First Adam - last Adam:

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. - 1 Corinthians 15:45.
