31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

The Devil is a liar in verse 44.

About how The Devil plays an imposter with some people, namely with me when I was of the world, and even now and then. But we have the word of God to carry us through to study unto Jesus Christ day and night.

It's not so much that we have the word of God, because the Devil has it to. But we possess something the Devil doesn't, the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God coupled with the word of God is what transforms the scriptures into a doctrine of truth. The Spirit reveals the simplicity of the Gospel, whereas the Devil is only able to breed confusion and discord.

The Imperative of Love

Yes anyone who does not abide can not point out sin. He who abides lets the Word convict you. The Word is a sharp two edged sword. And news flash satan does Not call out hypocrisy , that he loves very much because hypocrisy is evil. Satan is not against that which he contrived. Hypocrisy is to live a deceptive lie. A deceptive lie has a mask. It is the road of maligning the truth.

ya, Word is hidden, and hard to find. Much easier to guide an unbeliever to Word than a Christian, i notice. Seems counter-intuitive
