Mark 13:32 is a verse where Jesus says that only God the Father knows the day and hour of His return. This verse shows that Jesus voluntarily limited His divine attributes when He became human12. The verse is part of a larger discourse where Jesus teaches about the signs of the end times and the need to be watchful and ready.

surly christ knew everything

Indeed, the question of Jesus’ omniscience is a fascinating one. Let’s delve into it further.
In Christian theology, Jesus voluntarily limited the use of certain divine attributes. This self-imposed limitation is known as the “kenosis” (from the Greek word meaning “emptying”).
The verse you mentioned, Mark 13:32, is part of Jesus’ discourse about the end times. It reads:
“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”
Here, Jesus acknowledges that the exact timing of His return is known only to God the Father. Some key points to consider:
  1. The Incarnation: When Jesus became human, He willingly took on the limitations of humanity. This includes not having exhaustive knowledge of all things at all times. His divine nature remained intact, but He chose not to access certain aspects of it during His earthly life.
  2. Divine Attributes: As the eternal Son of God, Jesus possesses divine attributes such as omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence. However, during His incarnation, He operated within the confines of human experience.
  3. Purpose of the Kenosis: Jesus’ self-imposed limitations served several purposes:
    • Identification with Humanity: By experiencing human limitations, Jesus fully identified with our condition.
    • Model of Humility: His humility and dependence on the Father set an example for us.
    • Redemptive Work: Jesus’ mission was to redeem humanity. His self-emptying allowed Him to fully participate in our human existence.
  4. The Hypostatic Union: The theological concept of the hypostatic union affirms that Jesus is both fully God and fully human. His divine and human natures coexist without confusion or separation.
In summary, while Jesus voluntarily limited His divine knowledge during His earthly life, His essential nature as the eternal Son of God remained unchanged. His kenosis highlights His love for humanity and His willingness to enter into our human experience.

The 1260, 1290, 1335, and 2300 are the signs of His return

Certainly! Let’s explore these prophetic time periods mentioned in the Bible:
  1. 1260 Days (Time, Times, and Half a Time):
    • This period appears in various biblical contexts, including Daniel 7:25 and Revelation 12:6.
    • It symbolizes a time of persecution or tribulation.
    • Some interpret it as 3.5 years or 42 months, representing a significant period of turmoil.
    • It may relate to events during the end times or the reign of an oppressive power.
  2. 1290 Days:
    • Mentioned in Daniel 12:11, this period follows the 1260 days.
    • It signifies a time of significant change or transition.
    • Interpretations vary, but it could represent a turning point leading to God’s intervention.
  3. 1335 Days:
    • Also from Daniel 12:12, this period extends beyond the 1290 days.
    • It suggests a blessed time, possibly associated with the establishment of God’s kingdom.
    • The exact meaning remains debated among scholars.
  4. 2300 Evenings and Mornings:
    • Found in Daniel 8:14, this prophecy refers to the sanctuary.
    • It represents a period of cleansing or restoration.
    • Interpretations differ, but it could symbolize the time until God’s ultimate victory.
Remember that biblical prophecy often involves symbolic language, and interpretations vary. These time periods serve as reminders to remain watchful, faithful, and prepared for God’s ultimate plan. ✨

Is it possible that now that Jesus is back in Heaven, He now "knows" when He's coming back?

Could it be that He's now had that conversation with His Father, in the last 2000 yrs?

I vote : Yes.
