1. A gift is NOT the same as having something imputed to you.

What you posted was that "nobody ever receive God's righteousness".., and that is a LIE., so i posted the verses for you., tho mainly for the Readers who will read them.

So, you are here to try to do some damage control.... as usual..., and its going to fail, again.

See, i explained Salvation to you, and then i posted Paul's verse that shows you that God's Righteousness is a Gift.

Exactly as Salvation, is a Gift.
Exactly as Eternal Life, is a Gift.

So, the "imputed Righteousness of Christ" is "the Gift of Righteousness"..

It's "the Gift of righteousness" that is "imputed"... based on "Faith being counted by God".

I agree. Abraham had this thing called faith........and faith is not of our own that no man may boast, but is of God.

LOL. I have a sense of humour...but come on. ;) Not of WORKS lest a man boast. You want to destroy faith as well? See, you are twisting the bible into a pretzel here.
Some folks are not taking into account that the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world, and that God's works were finished from the foundation of the world too. But the natural man can't perceive these things because they are spiritually discerned.
Oh my. What do you drink with your pretzels? :beermug:

Back to the GIFT of righteousness. What is this gift of righteousness? It is a COVERING :Hanging:

Do you really thinks these readers as so stupid, that now that you've told them that "nobody receives God's Righteousness".. you now want to try to EXPLAIN IT.. .after you you denied it was given?

So, this is what you always do.. you bend truth, you deny the NT, and then you suddenly try to prove what you denied once your deception is clearly proven, again.

What will you do next? Post the verses that say that "Righteousness is a Gift" and tell us you told me that, after you denied it,?

- see you there.

The only people that could impute the righteousness of God to a human...are other humans. And they would be wrong. That would be idolatry.

God doesn't impute HIS righteousness to anyone...because no one is as righteous as He is.

You want to destroy faith as well?

You originally posted that "Nobody receives God's Righteousness". .. .

And that is an incredible lie that actually denies God's Salvation.
So, i showed you that its a "GIFT".. that is given to everyone who Believes in Jesus.

"The Gift of Righteousness"..

Do you want the verses again?

Your confusion is maybe not the same as other readers. I have tried to explain to you the difference between a gift and imputation. But your pettiness will now take over, completely ignoring what I said.
So, this is what you always do.. you bend truth, you deny the NT, and then you suddenly try to prove what you denied once your deception is clearly proven, again.

In your own mind, perhaps. You never ask for clarity but look only to accuse and claim falsities.
What will you do next? Post the verses that say that "Righteousness is a Gift" and tell us you told me that, after you denied it,?

I said, yes, it is a gift...but not a free gift the way you want it to be. Do all have the gift of prophecy? Do all have the gift of righteousness?

God bestows gifts...they are not to be named and claimed willy-nilly. So go off on your tangent now... joy:

More and more confusion on yet another disastrous thread causing so much strife within the Body of Christ..............on the subject of righteousness, ONCE more..

Do the saints have their own righteousness in the form of white raiment

The concept of righteousness is often associated with the idea of being clothed in white raiment, as seen in various biblical passages. The white raiment is not a literal garment, but rather a symbol of purity of character and the righteousness of Christ imparted to the believer who confessed(s) their sins.

The Saints’ Righteousness
In Revelation 19:8, some saints are given fine, clean linen for their righteous acts. This linen is not a physical garment, but rather a representation of their righteous deeds. The righteous acts of the saints are not their own, but rather a result of their faith in Christ, which is reflected in their outward behavior.

The Relationship Between Faith and Righteousness
Righteous acts of the saints are a direct result of their faith in Christ. This faith is not just a mental assent, but a living, active faith that drives their outward behavior. The Apostle Paul in Romans 1:17 seems to call this living “from faith to faith,” where inward faith has outward results.

And again as the expected Conclusion
In summary, the saints do not have their own righteousness in the form of white raiment. Rather, their righteous acts are a result of their faith in Christ, which is reflected in their outward behavior. The white raiment is a symbol of purity of character and the righteousness of Christ imparted to the sinner, and is not a physical garment that the saints can claim as their own.

God doesn't impute HIS righteousness to anyone...because no one is as righteous as He is.

You just again denied the "imputed righteousness of Christ", that is "the Gift of righteousness" that God GIVES (GIFTS) to every Believer.

Its interesting that you dont know that God has to give the sinner, His own righteousness.

= That is the end result of The Cross, and Faith in Christ.

This is Salvation 101, and you have failed to even begin to understand it, @Episkopos

See, God is the father of the "MADE RIGHTEOUS".... as this is the "born again" Christian.. and that Righteous can't be earned, it has to be received... because its "THE GIFT of Righteousness", and you dont work or earn a Gift... @Episkopos
Here is the reality check for you, .. if you do not have God's Gift of Righteousness, you can't go to heaven..

Now...Let me show you that the Christian is "made righteous".. based on Jesus.. and then you can deny these verses as well, @Episkopos , or whatever else you'll teach and pretend its true.

-see you there.

Our Eternal Dwelling
(Romans 8:18–27)
1Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2For in this tent we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, 3because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 4So while we are in this tent, we groan under our burdens, because we do not wish to be unclothed but clothed, so that our mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5And God has prepared us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a pledge of what is to come.
6Therefore we are always confident, although we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord. 7For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8We are confident, then, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9So we aspire to please Him, whether we are here in this body or away from it. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body, whether good or bad.
Ambassadors for Christ
11Therefore, since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is clear to God, and I hope it is clear to your conscience as well.12We are not commending ourselves to you again. Instead, we are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you can answer those who take pride in appearances rather than in the heart.
13If we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.14For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died. 15And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again.
16So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.a The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
18All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
20Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.21God made Him who knew no sin to be sinb on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness
of God.

If I ask someone....do you have God's righteousness? Many will err greatly and say, yes. OK Show me that righteousness! Puzzled looks ensue.

If I ask someone if they have the gift of tongues..a few will say..yes. OK... show me the gift. Then they will proceed to babble on for an unreasonable amount of time. ;)

A gift of righteousness from God is never ours. It can never be attributed (imputed) to us. It requires a full measure of grace which costs us everything to have... .....and it is something that protects the holiness that we receive by entering INTO Christ.

Righteousness is not like a gift of the Spirit that can be used and abused.

Short commentary.

People also ask
Does everyone have a measure of grace?
The Bible says this grace is given to every one of usaccording to the measure of the gift of Christ. Whenever God calls you to do something, He will always supply the perfect measure of grace so you will be able to operate in your gifting

So true ....Amen!

Your confusion

God's Salvation, and Eternal life, and Righteousness, cant be gained by a sinner, .////
This all has to be RECEIVED, by FAITH, as its only provided by the Grace of God .

So, you have now denied that God Gives Righteousness, so Paul showed you that He does... and its a "Gift", and all who have it, are "made righteous"... .and i showed you the verses.

You never ask for clarity but look only to accuse

I quoted you.
So, there is the "accusation", as you are the one who posted it.
Dont blame me for your posts, and your deception.

Do you understand @Episkopos ?

I said, yes, it is a gift...

You said that after i showed the members that you said that God does not provide it at all.

So,, you can keep being dishonest, and its not going to help you.

If I ask someone....do you have God's righteousness?

You would not ask them that, as you have stated in this Thread, that "

= "Nobody receives God's Righteousness". .. .and "God does not impute His righteousness to anyone"..

So you lied 2x... and now you are trying to manage it, with a lot of double talking..

Its not going to help you, @Episkopos

In Romans 5, Paul tells us how a sinner can be set free from the condition he was born into by being born again. We were born in the sin of Adam; that's what made us sinners to begin with. On the other hand, though we were born in the sin of Adam, we can be born again in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Of course.

As any Righteousness, that is less then God's OWN Righteousness, ("The Gift of Righteousness") can not put you into "right standing" with "God", as "ONE With God".
So it has to be GOD's OWN Righteousness that is GIFTED, Imputed< to the BELIEVER, as the "GIFT of Righteousness".

Romans 5

King James Version

5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

That's not how judgment works. We will be judged not for what Jesus did...but for what we did with what we have been given.
ALL outward behaviour is imputed to the person doing it. Even though, yes the saint has God working through him...the works are attributed (imputed) to the saint. The saint chooses the materials he builds with. Jesus counsels pretenders to go to Him and BUY those eternal materials. So a saint is judged by the works that were wrought THROUGH Him whether they were done with eternal things or just temporal religious ideological things.

You said it but you don't understand it. The first part of what you said is about righteousness. However, going from faith to FAITH is about going from the lower walk in obedience to the higher walk of Spirit empowerment. From our faith (in righteousness) to the faith OF Christ (in holiness with God's righteousness as a protective covering)
And again as the expected Conclusion
In summary, the saints do not have their own righteousness in the form of white raiment.
You are confusing the issue. Saints walk in righteousness BOTH in their own attainment of righteousness AND in the Lord's covering. If that was not the case then an evil person could also have God's righteous covering. So you are trying to eliminate the need for a broken, humble spirit...and a repentant heart...to get to your wanky theology.

Rather, their righteous acts are a result of their faith in Christ, which is reflected in their outward behavior.

That is on the level of a human obedience in righteousness....as you said THEIR righteous acts. The lower faith...the human kind. Can a human faith move mountains, do miracles, walk on water? No. But what is impossible for man is possible for God and His grace through us.
The white raiment is a symbol of purity of character and the righteousness of Christ imparted to the sinner, and is not a physical garment that the saints can claim as their own.
Imparted? Do you mean something learned and something adopted in character? If so...I agree. The righteousness of Christ is a learned HUMAN righteousness...the full stature of Christ as a HUMAN.

For those who think Jesus was NOT human...but only divine...go back to the bible.

Learn the difference between the human (lower walk)...and the divine (higher walk)...which comes TOGETHER IN ONE in Christ. Jesus is both God AND man. And we are called into that same sonship whereby we walk as a human but with a divine empowerment..just like Jesus. As Paul says...though we walk in the flesh, we don't walk AFTER the flesh, or according to the flesh.

Conclusion. The righteousness of saints is an attained righteousness based on obedience and growth into the full stature of Christ as a MAN.
