So what does the divinity of Jesus really mean, anyway?

For Christ to be the divine Son of God He must be begotten (brought forth) of God. If He is not begotten (brought forth) of God then He can neither be a true Son nor truly God. Everything depends upon His Sonship to God. If Christ is deprived of His true Sonship then He is deprived of His true Godship (Godhood). John wrote in the prologue to his Gospel “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 “No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” John 1:18 John later wrote (relating the conversation that Jesus had with Nicodemus) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18 Amongst various scholars there is a consensus of opinion that the words found in the above two verses were not spoken by Jesus. This is because these scholars regard Christ’s conversation with Nicodemus as ending at verse 15. Whilst I am not going to debate this issue here, it is true to say that whichever way this is viewed, it does not detract from the fact that the Holy Spirit inspired John to write these words. This means that even if they were only John’s comments, they are as true as if Jesus Himself had spoken them. This author takes the view that Jesus did speak these words. John also wrote in one of his pastoral letters “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9 On two occasions with His own voice, God confirmed Christ’s Sonship to Himself. The first was at the baptism of Jesus. The second was at His transfiguration “And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17 “While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” Matthew 17:5.
From the above it can be seen that this Sonship was not because of Christ’s human birth at Bethlehem but because of His pre-existent relationship with God. To put it another way: According to the Word of God, Christ had a pre-existent Sonship. It is that Sonship that defines His Divinity.

Is you? lol
No knowledge of Born Again..no knowledge of the Living spiritual rebirth, that we all need, only then can we start to understand God’s inspired word, as we are led through scripture by the Living Spirit, who has birthed our spirit into his......this is the part that you have no understanding of and that’s why I have ceased trying to discuss with you....you talk in the flesh ...and it shows..
No knowledge of being Born Again of imperishable seed, our spirit must be regenerated by the Living Spirit Of God....before you can even start to understand the written inspired word of God....unfortunately you think the Bible is God, it’s not...plus his inspired word says so.
You lead yourself through the scriptures....point made...

Jack..I asked you how would you or I know that we have been regenerated?

What in us has been regenerated?

You need to know him in your heart/ spirit, Jack?

No good quoting scripture, if you don’t know the Living Spirit Of God in your spirit/ heart...I’ve done my bit Father God...I’ve sown the seed, now it’s up to you Father God...only you can make the seed grow in your children, I pray that Jack is one of your children, he seems to think that reading a bible makes you a child of God..unfortunately it doesn’t.....as you word says, we must be Born Again to see the Kingdom Of God..

No heart knowledge, you need that before you can even understand the word of God...the Living Spirit leads us through scripture and brings it to our understanding.
You have it TOTALLY backwards! Read the Bible!

The Bible confirms that we are Born Of The Spirit....ask God for that heart revelation.

Gods Living testimony confirms the inspired word of God....Spirit gives birth to spirit = The Living Spiritual birth....you know 100% when your spirit has been birthed..if you know this, why can’t you explain it?

Surely you have a Living testimony on how you know God in your heart?....how would you know that the Bible is Gods truth?

Flesh gives birth to flesh = human birth.

Show me...?

God says we must be Born Again, you should be able to explain what that means...how do you know that God exists?

How do you know that Jesus came with the good news and what are you saved from Jack?

Spirit gives birth to spirit..= by supernatural divine heart revelation?..which means what?

Romans 8

King James Version

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You are the ones who is wasting time my friend...you can’t answer what it means to be Born Of The Spirit, without that...your posts are void of Gods truth.

You only post from your own understanding/ interpretation of scripture..anyway ..now I’m done...no more from me to you..I have sown what I believe I was led to sow...Praise God..he knows how passionate I am regarding his Living word, that I do get carried away at times, LOL.

Bro, So you are saying Jesus the Christ the anointed one of the Father God
Exactly, Jesus was anointed by God to teach/ preach...only God can anoint his Son with divine power to preach his Father’s word.

It came by the power of Gods Spirit....also look at the power that indwells our heart/ spirit..when our spirit became Born Again....the Spirit is Alive and Active in our hearts/ spirit...we have the Living testimony of God indwelling our spirit...” mind Blowing “!!!

Our Body houses the Living Holy Spirit...as we grow in spirit ..it becomes more and more mind Blowing and exciting.to know that we are spirit children of the most high...biggest Honour and Privilege one can receive in this lifetime on earth, can you even imagine what is ahead of us, when this old body of sin dies..

@APAK ....I was on the fence as you know for quite some time.

Praise God,....... that I do believe has revealed to my heart/ spirit that we only serve one God...

Jesus was his perfect Son...who completed the will of God, even unto death, God knew that Jesus would be obedient to his word...what a fantastic unbelievable God we serve...

The more I get heart revelation...the more I delight in knowing my Father God and the more I THANK Jesus for laying his life down, so that we can be reunited back to God via His Spirit.

The more we humble ourselves, the more heart revelation I receive, plus to seek God out with all my heart...I just LOVE doing that....just my thoughts ,Brother.

Jesus is right where he belongs at the right hand of His Father...Jesus the name above all other names....Praise God always for sending his one and only Son.

Representatives of God...should always worship him in Spirit and truth....God is a MIGHTY POWERFUL LIVING and ACTIVE SPIRIT.!!..in Jesus Name..Amen!

There is nowhere in scripture, where Jesus said to worship him.that he was God...

Reading a Bible does not birth our spirit, like some seem to think...that is an act that only the Living Spirit Of God can do....some say they are saved, yet can’t explain or know what they have been saved from..

Bro, So you are saying Jesus the Christ the anointed one of the Father God, as the Son of God must also be the source of divinity as his Father, who is also the source of divinity, who is the one God, because he has sonship status of God, his Father. Sorry it's a neat winding circular tale without any deep treads., that just slid off the edge....
You have made it circular by your own literary devising and reinterpretation of what I am saying. No need to resort to the introduction of ideas I never advocate as if they are my own.
John said the following...

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men. ”
John 1:4 KJV

John isn't talking about normal human life. Why would he be accentuating, promoting or exalting something everyone else had? No, the life John is describing is a different life. A different power. Jesus said later...

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. ”
John 4:14 KJV

He is using this water as an analogy for the kind of life He has and offers to share with others. It is the same as spoken of here...

“For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. ”
Jeremiah 2:13 KJV
Unfeigned Bible

Jesus speaking...

“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; ”
John 5:26 KJV

This life is self existent eternal immortal life, but with the added benefit of the power to lay that life down voluntarily, as He did in order to die for us. Of course you would have noted that the great source of this life is the Father, and the source of our immortality to be given in the future will be the Son. Of course, our life will not be self existent, we will always rely, even in eternity, upon the grace and power of God for our existence, as the prophetic picture of the tree of life in paradise reveals. We may share in divinity as Peter says, but that doesn't make us divine. The life the Son of God inherited from His Father however, was the Father's life. This concept of the Father being greater than the Son is nothing more than what one would expect of a Father Son relationship, and is in harmony with the rest of scripture. The Son equal with the Father having been given all things, except rank.
