Singing

Does God command us to sing to him? The thing is, singing is a very personal thing to me. For some reason I am so shy about singing. I have never sung in front of my wife let alone a church full of people. None of my friend or family have heard me sing. I am kind of like Will Ferrel in the step brothers without the voice of Fergy and Jesus lol.

I know singing is worship but I worship God without singing. I think about him all the time. I am blown away by mercy, kindness, wisdom and power. I'm blown away that he cares for ME! Is not that worship?

I don't sing either except in church and my voice is terrible. Well I just honor God in prayer.

the Lord is not unreasonable, if you walk with Him, then He knows what you know and think of Him. besides what is praise anyway? isn't it what you say to others about what He has done or how highly you think of Him.

for example: a proud or loving parent tells his friends who are willing to listen how well their child is doing and the wonderful things they do. that's praise. and when you read King David's psalms, aren't they the same. doesn't he tell all that the Lord his God has done for him.
