Matthew 12:21

That's very black and white thinking there (#justsaying), what are you basing that on?
I do not know why we have so many Christians who believe the entire Bible is written directly to them, the Church of God. There is nothing in the Bible to indicate such thinking, and I would like to add nothing could be further from the truth. It's true the Word of God was written for everyone for all time, and it's for our learning because it contains what everyone should know. That does not mean every part of it is addressed to everyone in this time, because the subject matter was written either to the Jews, to the Gentiles, or to the Church of God (1 Corinthians 10:32).

To rightly understand the Word of God, one must understand what part is written to the Church of God and what part is written for the learning of the Church. Every word from Genesis 1:1, to Revelation 22:21, is written for our learning. However, not all of the words from Genesis 1:1, to Revelation 22:21, are addressed to us. We must learn to distinguish not only the various people, but also the different time periods God has spoken to if we want to understand the written Word of God. The time God spoke to the children of Israel is not the same time period He has spoken to us. The time He spoke to the prophets in the time of the Old Testament is not the same time period He spoke to His Son Jesus Christ in the time of the gospels.

Administrations must be adapted to the time periods in which they are carried out. The administration with Adam before the fall was different from the one with his immediate family after the fall. The administration with Israel “under the law” was carried out on different principles from the present administration of Grace. This present administration is different from the one that will characterize the return of Christ. The administration of Judgment will be different from the one that will belong to the administration of Glory, when all things shall be gathered together in one under the headship of Christ.

We will never understand the truth of God’s Word if we neglect to rightly divide the subject matter. As far as we are concerned in this Grace administration, what happened to Israel in the Old Testament was written for our learning. If we do not rightly divide to whom it's addressed—the Jew, Gentile, or the Church of God, we will use one truth to contradict another truth, and we will use what is true for one group in contrast to what is also true for another group.

These different administrations are suited to different times because God has spoken everything to its proper time and administration. We will never understand the truth of God’s Word if we read into one administration what God tells us belongs to another administration. If we believe what God said in one administration and carry it into another administration that was on a different principle, we will be taking what is true for one time, and using it to contradict what is also true for another time. When we mix them all together, by jumbling the whole Bible together: Law, Gospel, Grace, Judgment, Glory, Jew, Gentile, and the Church of God, we will be very confused in our understanding of the truth of God’s Word.

What is written directly to the Jews, belongs to and is for the Jews. What is written directly to the Gentiles, belongs to and is for the Gentiles. What is written directly to the Church of God, belongs to and is for the Church of God. What does God mean when He tells us that the visions shown to Isaiah was concerning Judah and Jerusalem? It was not addressed to us or written concerning us, but it was addressed to and concerning Judah and Jerusalem. It would be dishonest for the Church of God to interpret to the Church of God what God said concerns Israel.

The same evolution, but speedier, will survive more easily.

Perhaps Evolutionists need to think about this?

I think God is able to start with design and chisel down, the same way a sculptor takes a piece of rock and chisels it down to a statue.

There is no reason why we have to start with a mutation (and build up)!

I think if Evolutionists grasped this, they would start with what God started with.

The secret of course, is to remain amazed at God's Creation!

The Devil tries to shift the context in which Evolution is thought true, to a position where he can more take advantage.

That we came from monkeys, is the Devil's lie!

As long as we keep loving the Versatility of the Lord's Word, we will never fall in to the snare of the Devil's hatred of the resurrection (because the Versatility of the Word, will come to life in us).

This is an interesting question: "which evolution is more important, the evolution of the game or the evolution of the umpire?"

There is an order of precedence (even if Evolution is true) as you can see!

The difficulty is that we (the faith) know that we have to save both ourselves and others, whereas the world (not the faith) only thinks of themselves.

The interesting thing, is that God is able to make more of our Evolution in its entirety, than we could ever make in eternity.

Just to lighten the mood of the thread a little, here is a joke:

What did one Evolutionist say to the other Evolutionist? "We don't fight like we used to, any more!"

It may be that Evolutionists trust "compromise" - that the Lord will not fashion a weapon against them, but will leave them to live out their little faith how ever they would like.

A similar power, both evolved and created, held together determines how attractive you are (selah).

If being held together is good, then, maybe resisting the Devil either way you look at it, is possible!

It is inevitable that the world will have to learn to self-deprecate, concerning the joke made about man's origin (that is "Evolution, from apes").

Perhaps what it will learn to trust, is that Christ will not compound their sin, with further sin? (Hence the acceptance, I talked about, but from another angle)

MY thinking at the moment, is that Evolutionists have a need to be wise. At similar point, they need to discern between "spirit" and "emotion" - because these describe the compunction to evolve, as they have discovered exists.

Evolution can't replace the word, but it can alter the letter (macro/micro evolution respectively).

Someone who alters the letter persistently (and not the word), makes nonsense their god.

Evolving enlivening, is slightly greater than approaching resurrection.

If then we have become resurrected and not concerned with approaching it, Evolution must go to great lengths to right.

Part of the difference between Creation and Evolution, is that Creationists don't believe they need to keep being created, to validate their theory; whereas Evolutionists imply that the proof of Evolution is that they keep evolving.

Well, this (idea that Evolution evolves) might work physically, but the purpose of a theory is to be understood consistently - that will always be its purpose, it does not need to evolve further.

Of course, you don't want to leave a power vacuum simply because there is a flaw in their thinking; I think breaking down elements of the theory of Evolution could reveal things about it that make it stronger - so there is no reason to do away with it.

Another good thing to remember, is that the less Evolutionists laugh about being from a monkey, the more they will be able to "evolve". Laughing at falsehood, stunts great growth.

Part of the problem, when it comes to what Evolutionists believe, is that they feel they have a better theory - as in, they suffer from the sin of comparison. What Evolutionists should be able to trust is that we will not compete with them! It's is quite possible to believe that Evolutionists may "improve" the world, while we (the faith) merely alter it. This is a shift in understanding, that Christians are not interested in taking over the world - but in doing God's will for the nations.

What this needs specifically, is prayer for those who are predestined to reveal God's Word, that it be free from clamoring for attention and twisting evidence - which is less than we can expect from God. Indeed God is not going to compete with Evolutionists, Himself! This is great, because we have each other in faith and do not need to deviate from the bread of God's mouth that He is giving us. It may even be that God alters the faith less than we do - that He keeps us from altering our faith needlessly.

It is a simple distinction: between improving something/and altering it - but I think there is room to disagree this way, without losing faith.

Tell me your thoughts?

God will both answer them (the Evolutionists) and bring us out of their midst (as He did with the people of Israel, in ancient Egypt).

Claim this in faith, if you want to be part of the Exodus!

Thank you Jesus, for my brothers and sisters under your blood!

I think there is a false sense of security at play, here (with Evolutionists). When Creationists say "Ok that hasn't worked yet, I will redouble my efforts", Evolutionists by comparison say "But it should have worked! I will give up". There is no contingency for the Evolutionists, everything hinges on its own existence relative to the past. Creationists are told "defend yourselves, strive to enter the narrow gate", they are not expected to believe that their flesh changed from monkey to man in times past. This is a question of mastering your word, not your theory.

This is not to say we can't learn from monkeys, quite the opposite: everything we see monkeys do, is unique to monkeys. This is an observation based on a precept, that God has a unique relationship to everything He creates. What that relationship is scientifically is up for debate, but it is the only explanation that addresses the range of nuance found in every creature - nuance that is not simply return to evolutionary ways. I feel trapped by this, as if if I turn to man he will laugh, but if I turn to God, He will protract the time needed to answer. It's sort of a limbo of belief/disbelief.

The incomplete thing about it, is that Evolutionists are looking through a one-way mirror; animals come one after the other, until the final one arrives. Whereas with God, God visits His Creation and reorders what His creation believes ("and We will come to him and make our home with him" (gospels from memory)). Do we need to correct Evolutionists on this? Once you realise that they are interested in themselves and nothing else, the hope of the Word and the diligence of the Lord's work are more than enough to feed those who get sick of it (their Evolution). This is something to master, surely.

Perhaps suggest how we ought to pray, for Evolutionists - I admit continuing speculation can be tiresome and may not be the root of what Jesus wants?

The hard fact is that all creatures will always have similarities with others of their species.

I'm not ignoring that creatures change. I'm not saying that it's forced. I'm just saying there is a limit to what is believed 'survival'.
