Well given faith is a gift and one must have faith to be even able to repent, I am convinced that faith precedes repentance. as to when and how long before- As Scripture is silent I will remain so as well.

In the beginning of the law
in the days of the wilderness , They were given a choice and NOT ALL had the SPIRIT upon them
as per say the PREISTS and Leaders did .
CHOOSE YE THIS DAY whom ye shall serve . NOW I do know its the SPIRIT that draws us sister .
and i know no man can call HIM LORD but by the SPIRIT . But what i also know is calvin messed things up sister .
Our focus should be on Winning souls and preaching the message of BELIEVE ye on CHRIST JESUS
The problem with most is , many follow another jesus and that one cannot save them .
MEN have debated for years over this sister . And even amongst us who now debate this
We have decieved men . some who beleive in and follow the path of interfaith that leadeth to the lie .
SO i suggest what we really need to do is
GET the focus back on that which is simple , start really reminding all about all things JESUS said and taught
and later the apostels did . More and more souls even within christendom itself , folllow another gospel .
TIME to remind all of what and who i know SAVES .
Its kind of like watching folks debate over things that are not necessary to know and yet
SOME of them dont even KNOW the gospel . They dont even FOLLOW JESUS the CHRIST .
I say keep it simple . WE KNOW WHO SAVES , we know who to point folks too . cause interfaith
and inclusiveity has made inroads even upon people here . that is deadly dangerous too .

The bible does not ""make one believe.""
If it did, then why are people in Hell, who read it?
Its because they didnt believe it.
Yes, """Jesus came to Seek and Save that which is Lost.""

"ALL who believe in me, i give unto them eternal Life, and they shall never go to Hell (Perish)".

RJ says...we most definitely have a will, that will of ours, will become inline with the Fathers will, why, because we have a sincere heart for the Lord....which by his grace, made us Alive with his Son, we are in Christ and he too is in us..all Glory goes to God.
We emulate Jesus , why , because we were chosen/ predestined , to be made into his image...our heart is in Christ.

If you go to a forum that is all Calvinism.. they will tell you that they are Calvinists, and that they are all "5-Point".. and that you are "Totally Depraved" and cant of yourself, trust in Christ.

Please don't twist or add to my words. (You're talking to a former English teacher, pastor, and now a published author--all by God's grace alone. I major in the English language as an 82-year-old man.)
God's forgiveness, gift of faith, and new birth all happen at the same time. That difference is your reasoning beyond the Scriptures versus my biblical reasoning within the Bible. John Calvin was right to say, "Go as far as the Bible goes; then, stop." It's good advice for you, me, and everyone.

Therefore by the deeds of the law shall no flesh BE justified in His sight .
Seeing it is ONE GOD who shall justify the circumcision BY FAITH and the uncircumsion through Faith .
FAITH IN WHO . IN GOD . And if mans faith be not in CHRIST then its NOT IN the FATHER who sent Him .
Thus whatever good and whatever wordly version of love they thought they followed , yeah it wont save them .
True love cometh of GOD and not the world . That love rejoices IN TRUTH and not inquity , not a lie .
JESUS IS THE TRUTH as The FATHER IS TRUTH , AS the SPIRIT is TRUTH .
So a man may say I BELIEVE IN GOD , I have faith in GOD and I LOVE GOD and my neighbor .
But if that man loveth NOT the SON , does not beleive the SON , has not faith in The SON , well
its all a deception . There is a way which feels SO right unto a man and yet the end is death .
THEN there is the ONLY WAY of GOD found ONLY IN JESUS the CHRIST who is THE WAY , THE TRUTH and THE LIFE .
Lets keep that in remembrance always . There simply is no hope in man in any other religoin . HOPE IN GOD
thus HOPE IN HIS CHRIST . Now let all that requires oxygene to sustain life raise up the hands and praise THE LORD .

The bible calls you a liar! It is the word of God that empowers a person to believe and provides the content of what to believe!
Wrong again! Once again your lack of basic knowledge of grammar betrays you! This is not a sentence that describes free will or predestination. It is a simple declaratory statement of fact. It merely says ALL that do A (believe) then B will happen (given eternal life). It doesn't say anything about how or by what mechanism a person believes. If you are going to try to argue bible verses, at least learn basic grammar.
Once again you make yourself a liar and a slanderer of the brethren who would dare disagree with the great and all powerful OZ (oops I meant behold)
