People already worship their cell phones/ computers. Years ago when TV was introduced, people were ( and still are) consumed by and addicted to it.
Computers and TV have separated us from God, family and friends. They are gaining more control of our lives. We have, in many ways, substituted long-held values, time with God and others for these high tech gadgets. Think of it, kids and adults hooked on gaming, pretending to play sports on the screen, or putting on a virtual reality headset, feeling like they are whitewater rafting or doing some exciting activity, while they are in their rooms, alone. Remember looking at them for the first time, we thought it looked silly, moving there bodies around ... it is pathetic really. Glad I was born in my generation when we actually went outside and played. The smart parents force them to go out and play ... but then now they are riding electric bikes and scooters.
It is an artificial life we have substituted the real one for. Oh well, some kids never leave their hood, nor do anything fun ... and so they fantasize online. The artificial violence has led to real violence though.

Put down the stupid computer and go out and live a real life and have a real relationship! Is it too late to get back to the basics? This Z generation is weird isn't it - most of them are clueless to what life is about.
Knowledge certainly has increased, but God will intervene before this thing becomes a monster. But maybe that is what The Antichrist forces the world to worship, an image of himself that gets right in your face all day long on your computer and everywhere, telling you what to do and what not to do. This is the ultimate invasion of our privacy. But we are already dependent on this gadget. It is already an idol. We set ourselves up for this monster.
Come Lord Jesus
