Why for so many of us we fall to our wants rather then have our wants lift us.

Jesus speaks of rewards throughout the gospels, and rewards are the results of seeking what is wanted.

And why rewards and for example in this text, when and where the rewards:

Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

What is the reward that is rewarded openly?

Sorry, having a very hard time understanding your OP?
Rewards are not the results of what is wanted, they are the results of appeasing God. That's what reward means, compensation or one's due, due to what they've earned.
In Matt 6:6, 'openly' is stated just in contrast to the discretion that is required in prayer. Jesus was indignant towards the Pharisees mode of praying in public, trying to advertise their piety and devotion.
So, to juxtapose the correct disposition required, versus the incorrect, he used the two words that denote each, open & covert.
Plus, reward doesn't mean gift or prize in this context, it just means accepted.
So, all Jesus is saying is, that if you pray in a manner that is pleasing and acceptable to God (in this case, privately), he will answer your prayers accordingly, that is, for all to see (openly).

Loosely related verse.
James 4:1-3
4:1. What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2. You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
