Okay, I would like to hear your thoughts on who is the earth beast in Revelation 13. There appears to be a number of characteristics or identifies in verses 11-16 that should help us identiy him... not going to be easy. Thanks in advance for your contributions.

The beast out of the earth will be a Jew, who will be associated Israel, who eventually becomes the false prophet.

Because he does the same type of miracles as Elijah, in Revelation 13:13, initially the Jews will think he is a version of Elijah, the prophet.

Following the Gog/Magog event of Ezekiel 39, and at the beginning of the 7 years in Ezekiel 39:9, he will anoint the prince that shall come - as the King of Israel thought-to-be messiah. Thus, that prince that shall come becomes the Antichrist at that point.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jews (Judaism). as part of their tradition, set a plate at their annual Passover meal in expectancy of Elijah's coming. The Jews (Judaism) believe that Elijah (or an Elijah like person) will prepare the nation for the messianic age.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course, when the beast out of the earth - the false prophet - backs the Antichrist when the Antichrist claims to have achieved God-hood, that reveals the false prophet to be a villain and not a true prophet at all.

Revelation 13:11-18 speaks about the person in his false prophet role, for the last 42 months of the 7 years. The 42 months of the beast-king's rule in Revelation 13:5

well, I certainly was not surprised that you would be the first to respond to this. So, would you please take the verses from 11 to 17 and provide how your interpretation answers each one of them.....

The false prophet is the same person Paul called "the man of sin" Most people know the man of sin is the one commonly called the antichrist, but few seem to make the connection that this same person is the false prophet in Rev:

Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received
the mark of the beast
, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Here we read of the second beast, who performs miracles in the sight of the first beast and performing those miracles in order to deceive the people!

Paul's Antichrist was called the man of sin and he is described as doing the same things for the same reason as the false prophet:

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2Th 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders

"Lying wonders" by the man of sin is the same as "deceiving miracles" by the false prophet.

The false prophet and the man of sin are the same person, the Antichrist.

well, I certainly was not surprised that you would be the first to respond to this. So, would you please take the verses from 11 to 17 and provide how your interpretation answers each one of them.....
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

my interpretation: - the beast is a person who demeanor is compared to that of a beast. Out of the earth - is regarded as the land of Israel, as opposed to out of the sea as regarded as the gentile nations. On one hand, he will project himself as being a harmless person like that of a lamb. But when he speaks, he will be speaking words as influenced by Satan - the dragon. Words of deception.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

my interpretation: - the first beast (as the beast-king) will grant him authority. As a religious figure - a prophet, albeit false - he will orchestrate global worship of the first beast (the deadly wounded but healed head).

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

my interpretation: - the beast out of the earth will perform miracles, such as fire coming down from the sky to earth, to deceive people into thinking he is a prophet, the coming of an Elijah-like prophet. However, it will be Satanic deception because the power will be coming from Satan.

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

my interpretation: - the beast out of the earth, the false prophet, will continue with those Satanic backed miracles, once the first beast person has become the beast-king. And the false prophet will convince the people of the earth who witness his miracles to make an image of the beast-king. That image will be a statue - that the false prophet will have placed on the temple mount - as the abomination of desolation.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

my interpretation: - by another Satanic inspired miracle, the false prophet will bring the statue image to life, so that it even speaks.
But what really happens is that Satan himself will indwell the image - in order to be worshiped as the (false) divine power behind the first beast's ability to recover from the deadly wound. In Revelation 13:4, it says the dragon gives power unto the first beast's recovery. And the dragon will likewise be worshiped.

And the false prophet then makes a law that anyone who refuse worship of the living, speaking, statue image of the beast - be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

my interpretation: - in addition to the worship the statue image or die law, the false prophet will also enact a global law requiring everyone to take the mark (of the beast's name), or the name of the beast, or the number (of his name) in order to buy/or sell.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

my interpretation: The number of the beast's name will be 666. The solving of that of number in an attempt to identifying who the beast person is - at present - is something that is broadly debated, with many theories, over time. For certain, it will be apparent when the buy/sell law goes into effect when the 42 months of the beast king' begins.

The verse does indicate one other thing - that the beast-king will be a man.

Of course he is a man but the beast-kingdom is not a man. Both beasts in Rev 13 are not men. Only one is. There is a kingdom, and one man.

I agree.

Both beasts in Rev 13 are not men. Only one is. There is a kingdom, and one man.
The beast out of the sea is a kingdom, with the mortally wounded but healed head as being the beast-king of that kingdom.

The beast out of the earth is a man - the false prohet

The living, speaking statue image - will be Satan indwelling it.

At Jesus's return, the two men - the beast-king and the false prophet will be cast alive into the lake of fire.

The statue image will be turned to ashes, exposing Satan (Ezekiel 28:16-19), who then will be cast into the bottomless pit.

No, the head is territory of that kingdom not a person. The only singular man is the FP.

"him" does not equal a person in Greek. You would have to take some courses in Greek to know that.

The word for beast is actually Neuter not Masculine (a word is spelled differently to show Masculine, Neuter or Feminine) so technically the English translation should be "it" but usually a Neuter noun is rendered in the masculine which creates the very issue in your post.

This beast is the dominant spirit in the Christian religion, it is the spirit of the false Christ.

There are only 2 words in the New Testament whose numerical values in Greek are 666.

εὑπορία = (5 + 400 + 80 + 70 + 100 + 10 + 1) = 666 - (Acts 19:25) - Wealth (KJV) or Prosperity (NASB)

παράδοσις = (80 + 1 + 100 + 1 + 4 + 70 + 200 + 10 + 200) = 666 -
(Matthew 15:2) - Tradition

These are the names of the beasts from Revelation chapter 13.

The second beast has horns like a lamb, but speaks like a dragon, that is, like a devil. The false lamb has only 2 horns, while the real Lamb, Jesus Christ, has 7 horns:

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. (Revelation 5:6)

What are the names of the 7 horns of the real Lamb? The answer is found, as usual, in Scripture:

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

(Isaiah 11:1,2)

(1) Spirit of the Lord, (2) spirit of wisdom, (3) spirit of understanding, (4) spirit of counsel, (5) spirit of might, (6) spirit of knowledge, (7) spirit of the fear of the LORD, godliness.

What are the names of the 2 horns of the beast masquerading as Jesus Christ? We find the answer again in Scripture:

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: (1 Timothy 6:20)

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2 Timothy 3:5)

Science falsely and false godliness. The two horns, the two powers of the false religion of the Antichrist: (1) false knowledge and (2) false godliness.

This religion has been serving Caesars, popes, presidents since the 4th century, they are building a civilization of Prosperity instead of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Details about both beasts are written in the forum thread:

Names of the Beasts of Revelation: Wealth (Prosperity) and Tradition

The beast kingdom is an "it", not a "he", nor a "him".

Yet you highlighted "him" in Rev 19 that speaks about the first beast implying you think that beast is a person, which you have claimed many times.

The verse does not say "it" referring to a kingdom... or else the verse would be written as follows.

20 And the beast was taken, and with it the false prophet that wrought miracles before it, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped it's image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

The beast in that verse is not an "it" - i.e. not a kingdom.

Both the beast and the false prophet will be cast alive (meaning two men cast alive) into the lake of fire.

And the number of the beast is the number of a man.

So the beast-king and the false prophet will be two men.

The second beast of revelation 13 is the United states armed forces.
The armed forces are given to the Israeli government to practice the authority of the Israeli government on its behalf.
It will causes missiles to come down from heaven on Israels enemies and it will distribute Netanyahu's implantable microchips to everyone in Israel.No.one in Israel will be able to buy or sell without Netanyahu's microchip.
Whoever will not bow the knee to Israel will face punishment and even death. If the Palestinians will not bow the knee, then they will die.

The armed forces will be given to Israel by Donald Trump who says he is a great deliverer and will save Israel. He promises peace and safety to Israel.

Book mark it.

Well think of it this way it’s the only beast in the bible that has a clean animal tied to it so what nation would be represented as a clean animal?

Revelation 13
11 Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon

Matthew 7
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

The beast in Revelation 13:1-10 appears to represent worldly power, which operates according to devilish principles. Its seven heads indicate that it has many ‘incarnations’: political fashions come and go, but the same potential for tyranny underlies them all, and the overthrow of one overlord merely makes way for the next. In whatever form it takes, the Beast opposes God’s way of righteousness and claims absolute authority over human behaviour. Its final climactic manifestation will be the Antichrist, who will not only exceed all other rulers in his blasphemous arrogance, but will gain control over the whole world (II Thessalonians 2:3,4).

This Beast is not named, because it has so many manifestations, but its name can be represented by a number (under the rules of Hebrew gematria). In John’s day, 666 almost certainly stood for Nero Caesar – but it also stands for every other tyrant in the history of the world.

Revelation 13:11-17 concerns a second beast. Most tyrannies are underpinned and legitimised by some form of false religion or ideology, which is a Satanic beast in its own right! John’s first readers were only too well aware of the growing power and influence of the imperial cult in Asia Minor. But the second beast has taken many other forms since then - some bearing a superficial resemblance to Christianity. However, it’s a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” (Matthew 7:15), and it draws people away from God and into the secular world-system.

I know this thread isn’t about the sea beast but if an incorrect interpretation of the sea beast is made, then the earth beast is going to be that much more difficult to interpret.

The sea beast has a very high probability of being the Daniel 7 little horn, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone making an argument against the little horn being the sea beast.

For me, the key verse that eliminates quite a few interpretations of who the sea beast is, is Revelation 13:7

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

A true believer is never “overcome” under the new covenant. In Philippians 1:20 Paul says Christ shall be magnified in his body whether by life or death, a believer who physically dies for their faith is not considered to be overcome but it is viewed as an honor to give their life as a testimony.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

In Revelation 11:7 the two witnesses are both overcome and killed which clearly indicates being overcome and killed are two different things. Despite this fact many people will insist the overcoming in Revelation 13 only means physical death.

The seven churches are all told they must overcome and there are some people who insist the saints will overcome while simultaneously the beast overcomes the saints, but since physical death isn’t viewed as being overcome from a believers perspective a person making this argument must say the overcoming is from the beasts perspective. Meaning it’s only the beast that thinks the saints are overcome. As far as I can tell, there is no other place in the Bible where that hermeneutic would even be considered, the Bible was written from the believers perspective.

I have yet to see anyone who places the Revelation 13 sea beast as taking place in the future put forth a reasonable explanation of how believers will be overcome. Especially since a believer will want God’s will to be done and obviously Revelation 13 has to be God’s will, so a believer shouldn’t be “overcome” by anything in Revelation 13.

Then you should read the words (highlighted) of Revelation 13:6-7 and compare it with the (highlighted) words in Daniel 7:25.

It is the same person in both chapters. But referred to as the little horn in Daniel 7 and the beast in Revelation 13.

Revelation 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

-----------------------------------------------------

The church is not here in the 42 months of Revelation 13:5 and the time, times, half times of Daniel 7:25. The rapture/resurrection event will take place before then.
