Time to develop an interest in seeing all the sights around Florida I'd think.
I only met the guy a couple of times but instantly sensed that he was gay. My wife denied it, stating he has a son and was married to a woman of the female persuasion (not those crazy trans-woman the woke left rage on about).

He is classicaly gay, in that he is cheerful, exuberant, merry. He was very happy for us and was proud that he is the one who talked my wife into going on the dating site where my wife and I met. Because my wife is the one who has known this man for decades, I feel it appropriate to play a supporting role in the interactions.

For the record, I did compile a list of sights to see but made no reservations. Weather and wanting down time, "catching up" will drive our schedule. I don't feel it is my place to judge him but will let him know what the Bible says, as if he does not already know. I'd be a bad guest accepting an invitation to then morally condemn his choices, wouldn't I?

Jesus always chose to eat with sinners and hang out with them.
Why?
To influence them, to cause them to see the LIGHT.
I'm not sure that Jesus associated with anyone other than repetant sinners. Do you interpret the text that he associated those who enjoyed living in sin while with him? Hmmm Not too influential, right?

He may be unrepentant now, as they are in a gay marriage. But the love of God is still a good seed to plant. Who knows what the future will hold for them, circumstances can change.

Did you ever read the story about "she who was forgiven much" ????

This one crawled across the dirty floor to wash Jesus's feet with her tears and dry them with her Hair.
That's a : Mary.
So, this happened in front of the Pharisees, who were "visiting" with Jesus, and they were not happy to see it.

Jesus often went to the worst sort of people, because they need Him the most.

The timing of this thread is perfect. Here is my dilemma. My wife and I are planning to visit a high school friend of her from 4 decades ago. Because of him, I met my wife. Anyway, he moved to Florida and bought a house. He invited us to visit at years end. Also, he came out of the closet and has a husband. What do you advise?
Hello Wrangler,

You're right. The women who was caught in adultery was caught in the very act so someone dragged her out of a bed and to the temple. So she wasnt in in a repentant state yet Jesus received her and did not reject her one whit. SO Jesus didnt really hang out with the worst people who were unre[entant because Jesus has a manner of speaking that does not bring condemnation. They might feel a conviction from His words but not condemnation. So I highly suspect that no unrepentant sinner can remain in Jesus presence very long without becoming repentant!

It's just how He talks. He speaks to me the same way. You understand real fast why you should be repentant! He says things in just the right way.
