Christians did meet in the synagogues along with their Jewish brothers and sisters
what one calls an enigma or what, like nonsense?
Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.
You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.
We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!
Christians did meet in the synagogues along with their Jewish brothers and sisters
'out' the Christian believers from the synagogues, the Rabbis devised new prayers that blasphemed Christ.
The Sabbath was a uniquely Jewish day, and Christians, not wanting to be associated with or be mistakenly recognized as Jews, compromised as a safety mechanism.
Why do you find that funny? I know it doesn't always work that way, but it "should".Hahahahaha...
What you meant to say, is according to teh bible, doesnt sound so "religious" does it,
Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
do you see what that says, sin existed before the law, but there was no penalty till the law came. When did God give Moses the Law to give to the Israeltes, how long after Creation.
Sin is anything you want it to be. Getting out of bed late and being angry because you did is sin, that has nothing to do with God or His law.
Rom 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
Rom 14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Rom 14:3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Some consider smoking a sin others not, some consider drinking a sin others not, teh greatest sin of all, is unbelief, means you dont trust God. And there is lots of that going around.
Yes and Jesus said :" This one commandment I leave with you, that you love one another like I have loved you."...We could go around in circles for a fortnight, pointing out various things which have two opposing (at least) views in the bible....But I didn't come on this forum for that........As a matter of fact, there is just getting a little too much militarism here for my liking lately...John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
All you need do is to look at the more than a thousand various denominations out there, who all claim that they follow the same book...I will follow after what I have been taught by the Lord and if that differs with any or even all the denominations, I really do not care about that...Him ? That's another matter, I care deeply what He has to say, but this is not what I find a lot of other places...For anyone to tell me to believe a written document over and above what Jesus says, that to me is just foolishness....No, there is complete and utter chaos in churches because of people that take Scriptures out of context and read into Scripture whatever they want as you are doing.
hahaha, that is so funny you have no idea....so after many months here , you read one comment and judge me of the old covenant...that is truly hilarious, and goes to show exactly what we have been discussing on this forum many times, the quick snap judgements people make, uninformed and uninterested...Are you of the old covenant? It seems you are
Are you suggesting Yeshua only gave us one command to obey? Here is a list of 49 others.Yes and Jesus said :" This one commandment I leave with you, that you love one another like I have loved you."
If, by "militarism", you mean "obedience", then you are in a sad spiritual condition. The spiritually minded man allows himself to be subject to the Law of YHWH and the carnally minded man refuses such subjection (Romans 8:7)....We could go around in circles for a fortnight, pointing out various things which have two opposing (at least) views in the bible....But I didn't come on this forum for that........As a matter of fact, there is just getting a little too much militarism here for my liking lately...
Their claims differ for two main reasons; 1) They do not have ears to hear what the Spirit is trying to teach them and 2) they do not know how to properly study Scripture. All you need do is to look at the more than a thousand various denominations out there, who all claim that they follow the same book...
Let me get this straight; are you saying that "Jesus" talks to you other than through Scripture and that if he says something different than what the Bible records him as saying, you will believe what you thought you heard him tell you? I thought Scripture was our anchor of truth and that any voice we hear that contradicts what was written is a deceiving spirit.I will follow after what I have been taught by the Lord and if that differs with any or even all the denominations, I really do not care about that...Him ? That's another matter, I care deeply what He has to say, but this is not what I find a lot of other places...For anyone to tell me to believe a written document over and above what Jesus says, that to me is just foolishness....
Mar_12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mar_12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
So keep it and you will be without condemnation.
to tell me to believe a written document over and above what Jesus says, that to me is just foolishness....
hahaha, that is so funny you have no idea....so after many months here , you read one comment and judge me of the old covenant...that is truly hilarious, and goes to show exactly what we have been discussing on this forum many times, the quick snap judgements people make, uninformed and uninterested...
I do not ! I mean when it is without Love, doubt you'll find much love from a drill Sargent...If, by "militarism", you mean "obedience"
It may be yours, but I did not even know scriptures existed til approx 6 years after He showed me i had been wrong all my life, by not believing in Him ( I was 30 at that time )......Take that as you wish...Believe or don't, that is entirely up to you...What I would love to see, is people taking this to Him and wait for their own reply.......So you don't believe He is alive and real either ?I thought Scripture was our anchor of truth
Nasty nasty...You, Christlike ? I think not.You say you keep these commandments greater than there is none?
Are you referring to me? If so, please cite a post that was without Love. You also need to notice the posts of those who try and refute the OP. Are they given in Love? This issue of Love is simply a personal attack resorted to when there is no Scriptural defense.I do not ! I mean when it is without Love, doubt you'll find much love from a drill Sargent...
I took the Sabbath issue to my God, Yeshua's Father, Almighty YHWH. He replied by not only confirming this truth through Scripture, but through the gift of prophecy spoken by a visiting Sunday keeping Christian Pastor who I did not know and who did not know me. I broke down in tears when he spoke because his words confirmed that what I was learning about the Sabbath was true. He even said it "was not a work for salvation, but because of salvation". From that day forward I have kept the Sabbath and never looked back. What I would love to see, is people taking this to Him and wait for their own reply.......
Is this a question asked in Love? Not even close. So you don't believe He is alive and real either ?
First, I am not permitted to post in that thread. Second, there is no page 9 since there are only 6 pages. Third, from what I read, the thread is loaded with error. It would be very burdensome for me to try and reply to it all here. May I suggest you post your best two points here and Ill address them.
