so if I am in danger, now because I have a repentant heart and turned from it that God would now protect me if I'm in danger?

Thank you so much for your Godly and scriptural replies. I really need help. I ask for prayer about this and that especially God would bring me back peace. Please be kind and don't give any mean or evil replies. Thank you.

First of all, in case you were worried about it, God is NOT mad at you.

I'm praying for your peace of mind, and that you can rest easy while trusting Him. Okay?

Hi, nobody gave me this answer but it's because I have a background in the knowledge of the Word of God from teachings and reading the bible in the past and it has helped greatly! I just need a little more assurance as to what others know and can help me in regards to this problem.

These are the comforting scriptures I learned from the truth in the Word of God:

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, Acts 3:19

Say to them, As I live, declares the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel? Ezekiel 33:11

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. Proverbs 28:13

So the character of God seems like if you turn from your ways and confess and repent of (forsake) your sin then he will be forgiving, compassionate, merciful and healing. What you do all Christians think about this?

This gave me a lot of peace but I still want assurance!
Thank you so much for your help!

I think you need to learn to rest in the Lord. Once you confess your sins, you are cleansed and forgiven. 1 John 1:9.

I think that the character of God is that He loved us first (in spite of our sins), and the reason we stop doing the things we shouldn't be doing is the response to trusting in God's love for us. Trust first; behavior follows.

Though I don't understand. Why would those verses I quoted be there in the OT and even I think in the NT it suggests or says to the contrary, if I just had to ''rest'' in Him and there was no repentance or forsaking of sin involved? I think that would lead to the wrong kind of prayer and spiritual life with God that He intends for us.

Not all misfortune is the result of God using punishment to correct unwanted behavior. Sometimes misfortune is the natural consequence of making bad choices. And sometime bad things happen to good people through no fault of their own, but because this is a fallen world.

Just be careful. It's a dangerous world out there.

Okay; some kids do need a swat on the butt to correct undesirable behavior.

I am 99% healed after those comforting scriptures. This has been going on for about a month where my head was hurting. Now it's just a little constricted so it's not totally free and released so there's some inflammation. I think I need more assurance from other people backing me up so your response would be greatly appreciated.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. - Ephesians 6:10-18

Okay so I'm going to apply scripture again from what I understand that is written in the Holy bible/God's Word. I know I am under spiritual warfare so the shield of faith is what will extinguish ALL the flaming arrows of the evil one. So I am going to go into my Study Bible (sword of the Spirit) to get backup for all those comforting verses I've quoted since so far, I'm not getting any back-up help here for them which I feel I need assurance. Then I will just have to ''believe that it's true'' and back-up confirmation from others who truly know it is true will help me believe what I read is true and not doubt that I'm wrong (shield of faith). So I'll come back to tell you all how I'm doing after that.

Questions:

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
What does it really mean ''seek my face''? I want to make sure all is done from me that is required to be in good standing with God who is good.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7
Is there any special meaning to ''return to the Lord''? Again, what does that really mean? Same as ''seek my face''?

I have finished studying the verses from the Study Bible. I did not get everything out of it but I did get some information/explanations. I have questions if anyone can help. The questions are above. Thank you. I really hope I can receive assurance of what I'm saying is true from anyone who knows and can confirm that what I am saying is true about God's character otherwise I will never be completely healed.

I learned in the Study Bible, though it didn't indicate which part they were talking about, but that it seems to be talking about the seek my face as to seek God continually and true repentance as turning away from your sin and having a change in attitudes and behavior.

I feel I need assurance that what I am understanding about God's character is right on right and true for me to have the chance to be completely peaceful. If no one can be a back-up and confirm and know that I'm surely right then I'm standing alone so how convincing is that?but we're a body of Christ and we need to come together as one body part helps the others, each helping each other so it can function and be well so I guess it's true that the more the better. That is in scripture. Thank you all.

if GOD said it and inspired it , YOU TAKE ALL ASSURANCE IN IT SISTER . that is all the ASSURANCE you need sister .
but yes i will for sure tell you
that GOD desires not the death of the wicked but rather they repent . In fact
IF your heart is now repentant again , THANK GOD FOR IT , cause its HE WHO LED YOU TO REPENTANCE .
SO you just leap up and dance a jig around the house and praise the LORD .
THERE is more JOY in heaven over even ONE sinner that repents . SO there it is sister . Now do praise and do thank the LORD
for his abundant mercy .

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

So if you already have believed on the Lord, and you are a born again child of God....after that, you rest in Christ and in His finished work on the cross for you.

I'm not saying you rest in your sins. But in Christ.

I am 99% healed after those comforting scriptures. This has been going on for about a month where my head was hurting. Are you tormenting yourself? That is why I said learn to rest in Christ.
