"we can't let Joe into the white house"
This is not within your power or ability to stop.
I saw a documentary on intensive care, and a woman in their 30's saying they were not ready to die.
It was truly tragic, a terrible situation to face, yet life for them was coming to an end.
Empires, countries rise and fall, just as night follows day. We can only affect and dwell upon that which is within our grasp.
The rest is just blowing in the wind.
A group whose hopes rest on a man, and an election in this world, and its opinion are not resting on Jesus and the eternal Kingdom of God.
Worse still if the majority did vote for the opposition and the lie is there was fraud, they are unjust and illegitimate.
By their own reconning they should be cut down and tried for treason. With the same anger they shout and stomp, so should their enemies shout and stomp against them.
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Matt 7:2
Often the fears and pessimism appears very real in the moment, but never comes to fruition. The whole election cycle is cathartic, to let out all the pent up frustration and the size of feeling so the incoming administration can set to work to address this. And that is how democracy works, like a family that listens one to another, things do change.
God bless you
