It was truly tragic, a terrible situation to face, yet life for them was coming to an end.

Often the fears and pessimism appears very real in the moment, but never comes to fruition. The whole election cycle is cathartic, to let out all the pent up frustration and the size of feeling so the incoming administration can set to work to address this. And that is how democracy works, like a family that listens one to another, things do change.

I’ve read some of your posts in other threads, and you have some good things to say. But in this thread, you’re always swimming against the current and saying some pretty weird things.

It is you who are saying weird things for a believer.
Supporting Trump who is playing you all is falling for power over sense.

Evil shows its head when the targets are innocent.
Lying can be spotted when facts no longer hold power to silence people, and the repeated lies imply they are statements of truth.
Our whole society relies on the truth of facts, established and confirmed through documentation and history.

Once you corrupt this you destroy the foundations of our civilisation.
Ironically the Nazis who lied so much were meticulous in keeping records and finding out facts against people to eliminate them and send them to the camps. You have to work very hard to maintain lies, because a lie is a weak thing, once exposed, should evaporate because it destroys the liar.

But because someone is still in power, lying has an implied reality. Trump appears at the rally implying he will still be in office after 20 Jan.
He is 100% delusional. He has won nothing, and his ardent supports are still claiming the original accusations which have proven to be just inventions. The power of Watergate was the lies were exposed and Nixon fell.

Here we have a blind set of followers listening to a liar and claiming he is speaking the truth. That is delusional behaviour, pure and simple.
Yes there was fraud, on the scale of 10's of ballots, not millions. Yes you can argue it is massive and you have won, at the beginning, but not after you have failed in the courts, failed in the institutions of government, and failed in the news media. The only reason this is not closed down is because of the office Trump still holds. Honouring the office is more important than the lies being spread to dupes who are listening.

I am proud of the institutions of democracy all over the west, that have responded and still respond to the challenge of Covid and its threats to our society. Praise the Lord we have people of integrity and truth who will stand up to liars and dictators, who will hold this banner high and bring justice to bare.

Eleven or 12 months down the road, it may already be too late. If the workers of darkness take full control, they will use every moment to destroy everything worthwhile, and set up a totalitarian regime. All future elections will simply be a joke, as they are in every banana republic.

I understand this type of projection, but it is just that a feeling. The US power structure is very hard to change, with elections every 2 years. Take Obama care, its survival and its costs and benefits. 4 years of Trump and he could not change it much. Take the wall building. Only through fiddling the funding, declaring an emergency could a few billion be found to make it work.

This is one of the strengths of the system, yet the election of one man over another is said to change it all.
The foolishness of Trump was to pull apart the civil service and put in political appointments. It is foolish because the next regime can do the opposite, and put in their appointments. The power of the system is to leave partisan politics outside of the practical working of power and execution, and keeping strategy and policy in the hands of politicians.

The massive frustration being expressed is because the system works so well a whole group have been ignored, and Trump is the consequence.
In a strange way this should actually reassure you, that things will continue as before. One might hate this, but it is not a totalitarian regime or a banana republic or communism. Even Trump knows these kind of lies are just that, which makes him out to be what he is, a tin pot dictator.
But his tin pot has just be shot out of the fun fair shooting gallery and he is on the floor about to be taken out with the trash.

The courts decide on matters of law. Has someone broken a law, and is there enough evidence to support the claim.

It is a purely factual based question. If the courts with the brightest and best presenters of cases failed to make a case to be even heard, there is no case.

It cannot be emphasised enough, there are a world full of delusional nutcases who will claim anything and everything, but truth matters, and the arguments need to be real. Once you find the cases are illusory, an invention, without foundation, miss applied, miss presented, to follow such a cause is delusional and only driven by a world view that needs it to be true.

A racist believes that because someone has a different coloured skin they are different to them, normally inferior. Any evidence that supports this belief will be taken as truth, and any evidence that shows it is rubbish will be taken as a lie. Propoganda manipulates people this way, so you have to ask all the unasked questions and see where the truth actually lies. Old people die so old age is deadly. The truth is our bodies fail to function and we die, at whatever age this happens. It is the failure that kills people, not their age. It is why on average we live so long, because our medical facilities can resolve the crisis of failure and keep people going, Praise the Lord.

For me the point is simple. Trump is a liar and that bars him from being respected or listened to. Everything that flows from liars is bad and destructive, a corrosive influence on all they touch and affect. It is the one point literally everyone is talking about. It is so bad they are talking about splitting the republican party, because the fanatical right are idolising Trump to a degree that makes them unelectable.
