Reagan was elected to two terms and did much like Trump and told Russia to go to Hell, destroyed Iran's navy, launched a missile into the palace of Momar Kadafi, and stood outside the east Berlin wall and shouted "Gorbachev, tear down this wall". It takes a gutsy person the straighten the world out.

Trump is no Reagan.
Reagan was a decent guy and did not foul mouth foreign leaders.
Reagan treated Gorbachev decently and firmly.
And Reagan was not a convicted criminal.
Foreign leaders respected Reagan.
Many questions have risen about Trump during this campaign season
about his platform, his knowledge of issues, his imflammatory language,
his level of comfort with political violence.
He has no knowledge of issues.
Hopefully he will listen to his advisors before he
fires them or before they just leave office like they did
when he was in the White House earlier.

A kangaroo court convicted Trump and will be appealed. Most all the world leaders respect Pres. Trump. Trump has been on TV shows, talk shows, and news shows over the last 40 yrs and is an actor like Reagan. He hasn't changed and has said the same thing. Even Oprah asked him if he would run for president. A billionaire with holdings all over the world has a wealth of political knowledge. Any wealthy person plays politics in other countries. Harry Truman and Teddy Rosevelt were both bully's who got more done than most presidents.

Unbeknownst to many--there is a civil war going on right now!
But it is not going on in the way of shattering unity as you say, but behind the scenes since early 2020 and before. Unfortunately, covert activity does not allow for straight up press releases and keeping everyone in the know; and yes, it has caused unwarranted division in those who are second guessing everything with extreme prejudice, quick to hate, see fault, blame others, and judge.
Meanwhile corruption is on both sides of the isle. Fortunately, the number of people reading the handwriting on the wall have seen through the accusations has increased, and are connecting the dots. Still, many are blind to it, and the love of many has grown cold...as it is written.
