PS: It's probably a bit different between men and women also, at least, sometimes.... At this point in my life, though, I'm getting closer to 50 and getting another tattoo at this stage in my life isn't for me.
PS: And as far as influencing is concerned, a lot of Christian young people now use faith based ink as a witness opportunity, e.g., Bible ref. or phrase or Christian fish sign <><, etc.If we close people out we have no opportunity to influence
...we don't talk much about tattoos but if I do get one it is going to look like this....

I have often pondered the idea of a tattoo that reflects my faith.....never know when it might be a witness to someone....would definitely be a conversation starter about Jesus!
If you've already had it done, it becomes a lot easier to do it again, right?Bahaha he has three planned out in his mind
I would be more open to it for sure.@Heart2Soul So do you think if years ago it had been more widespread for women to get tattooed, it would have been more likely that years ago you would have had it done?
Honestly, I don't have an opinion on it. IF people want to get a tattoo, it's entirely their own choice on when and what. I have no place to judge on it. I think as Christians under Christ we have to recognize that people have that freedom and it's up to their own conscience...up to their own 'conversation with God' if you want.Without doubt, a lot of young people - including some Christians - do it at around 18, as a coming of age thing. Do you find this inherently problematic? or would it be wiser to embrace the idea that it's done at around this age so often and that young Christians can usefully be pointed to the idea of getting something specifically faith based rather than just any ink because it's coming of age time?
Sounds like they were then already veteran tattooees. They had their tattoos for a few years before I got mine.
I guess when the time came for your daughters to contemplate having it done, women were already doing it rather widely, so in a sense it was kind of natural for them.I would be more open to it for sure.
Did I tell you that my wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area - it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also; and for it, it must have seemed well worth getting used to the inside of a tattoo parlor and putting up with some pain also.I never had been to a tattoo parlor.
Yeah so I have heard...and many have become tattoo junkies needing a fix. Lol.PS: @Heart2Soul .....even if you never in the end do it, inking feels good to so many.
LOL, although I strongly doubt that you would become a junkie if you did it; you'd probably do it deliberately with careful thought.Yeah so I have heard...and many have become tattoo junkies needing a fix. Lol.
I expect you were pleased for their sakes that they were each prepared to take the initiative to get it done.:) i admire what they got. It isn't offensive to look at.
I guess...: just looks good, feels good...:) i admire what they got.
Not sure what you mean here...one daughter has a rose, a sun, and I think a dragon,I guess...: just looks good, feels good...
I guess I should have put, Must have been good to look at; for both of them must have felt good to do.Not sure what you mean here...one daughter has a rose, a sun, and I think a dragon,
The other one has a rose and a dolphin.
