Particularly as regards your probable observations of your daughters' inking experiences, these can indeed be very meaningful if undertaken deliberately, but should benefit from plenty of planning, right? (I'm guessing this is behind your particular preferred vote category.)

@Waiting on him PS: I think you may have in the past mentioned a rather fast 'passage to adulthood' inking rather than a long desired and planned inking experience, at least with one of your daughters, right?

Certainly 18 is a popular time to do it. (I wonder about those mentioned in the OP quote from someone about experiences from the Bible Belt; re. at what exact ages they variously would have had it done? It wasn't revealed in the quote, anyway.)

Yes, indeed; careful planning is certainly called for; I guess this also is part of the idea behind the age focus of the poll. (If this makes sense?)

I think the reason for having a tattoo might have more to do with it than age. But I'm still thinking about it.

I saw them but haven't read enough of the posts to interpret the results yet.

I guess it's sensible to take time before interpreting results, right? (Not that it ever stops the media from commenting on 'opinion' and talking up whatever vested interest/opinion that the media is paid to talk up...)
