I was considering that.
But when a buyer shows up it will be hassle.
BC laws say they can stay 3 months after they receive notice to leave.
So, that closes the door to renters.
Small wonder people can only find few rental houses in this province.

I've never been to Alaska...

Yep. But true ...we did just that ...opted out...move 75 miles north of Ft St John on the Alaskan highway. But that was in 1976. It was a long time to wait...so we came back out.

Just as well, we are 77 and 81 now....a bit old and not so healthy for living out in the bush.

No, we have Canadian citizenship. ( since 1980)
We lived at Mile 75 up the Alaska Highway...and then about ten miles East, into the bush from there.
