@farouk they closed down car manufacturing in Australia in 2017 I think it was, 3 years later they are axing Holden all together
The correct statement is that General Motors are not going to design and produce LH cars any more, world wide. As such the Holden Models unique to Australia will no longer be made and sold by General Motors.
Oh, okay I hadn't heard that...
So are there any 'indigenous' cars from Australia now?
Don't be surprised if Hyundai or whatever opens a branch plant to get in under tariffs, etc.2nd hand ones

What typically happens is, if Asian imports are competitive, the unions make a lot of noise and won't cooperate in keeping the price of locally manufactured cars down...and over and over they have priced themselves out the market, and then it's supposedly all the government's fault, or all the foreigners' fault, etc., etc.@Jay Ross it's sad in a way, I think a lot are going to miss the Aussie classic Ute
Great classics of yesteryear, right, @Angelina ? :)
I think down there you guys have Holdens, right? that we don't see over here...
Do you think Australia will go over to driving on the other side of the road? The Left hand driven cars keep to the left hand side of the road.
A Right hand driven car keep to the right hand side of the road.
GM are now only going to keep designing and manufacturing cars suitable for driving down the right hand side of the road.
Detroit is not going to act in the interests of overseas branch plants in preference to its own backyard's.RH* you mean hehe
