Yet, they call themselves "Pentecostal.". How honest is that?

Show a group of 120 Believers gathered in complete doctrinal agreement with each other conducting nonstop prayer for days in obedience to the direct command of Jesus, show the wind and shaking of the church building, show the visible falling of the Holy Spirit as in to guess if fire, show the speaking of various known languages spoken to visiting international Jews, show us the conversion belief of 3,000 people after hearing the single witness sermon of an Apostle.

No "Pentecostal" can show even one of these things.

Was this a real event? Notice no building shaking or rushing wind as you claim must happen.

Acts 10:
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.

Yes. This was a real event provided for Gentiles as a sign, just as Acts 2 had been a sign for the Jews.

So do you understand now that the Holy Spirit doesn't have to come with a rushing wind, or shaking building? Though I do know from my own experience, that it does come with physical feeling. I actually felt the heavy carnal nature being taken out of me, and the Holy Spirit filling me. How about you? Did you feel anything, or is it more theological than an experience for you?

From then on I could hear God's voice as I did that night, and so 100% of my prayers have been answered for the last 44 years. 1 John 3:22

Feelings nothing more than feelings, feelings oh oh oh feelings oh oh oh feelings

how subjective and carnal of you basing truth in feelings which are deceptive , they change directions like the wind .

@Jared42
Title of thread is: "Pentecostals" Cannot Replicate Anything From Acts ch.2.
But God can and does! Where my friend is your faith?
Acts 2 did you forget ?

Do you speak in counterfeit tongues ?
My gift of tongues received from God in 1976 is not counterfeit. I pray in tongues daily seven days a week.

"Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?" I Cor 12:30

All do not, but many do. That there are counterfeits does not mean that none are real.

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Mark 16:17-18

I think your OP might be against the rules so I reported it. We are not supposed to create threads designed to attack any denomination. It appears to be along that line of usage.

The only authentic tongues are known human languages correctly interpreted, and are for a sign to unbelievers. 1Cor. 14:22 is very clear about this

"Pentecostalism" is not a denomination. It is a doctrine.

Try to follow the rules.

I do disagree! You should not argue against something simply because it is outside your personal experience.

I saw that sanctified was past tense and not a process, so I asked Him what is the name of the process? And immediately He answered and said "Glorification." I had never heard anyone preach about that, but after that I saw it confirmed a lot in the NT.

Others have been about lost items, and when He told me to pray where they were, within 5 seconds I would uncover where they were.

Cite one thing of Acts ch. 2 which you have replicated. Seriously.

"But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Matt 12:39-40

Acts 2 is not the only chapter that corresponds to Mark 16:16-18 which I have. How about chapter 1, about divine power in 2 Peter 1:2-4, or Acts 4 about the gifts of 1 Corinthians 12 which I have all but two?

How do you know that you have the Holy Spirit, or do I assume too much?

So true. "Pentecostals" love to have signs and wonders in their churches.

I do not have it as falsely spoken of by those who pretend they replicate Acts 2. Do you?
