This is an interesting parable, it speaks of what would ultimately happen to Jesus, and what would happen as a result. The Kingdom would be taken from them. This would all have to relate the coming judgment upon Israel during the “Day of the LORD” when Yeshua would come and rescue the bride. The material Kingdom of Israel would be burnt up, and spiritual heavenly Jerusalem would be in its replacement. Even the Pharisees own mouth responded in understanding what Jesus stated concerning the state which they had become, in which just prior Jesus cursed the fig tree concerning this state of the age which would come among them.
In the coming chapters this message would continue to increase of when the end of that age would come upon them “the end of their world as the had known it” being replaced the the new heavens and new earth (Revelation.)
Along with the Kingdom being for all people and not just a certain group as those in this time expected a material kingdom, which was far from what Jesus said stating “My kingdom is not of this world.” In testimony to Pilate.
