Unfortunately there are a few who think this is a Calvinist view..how very wrong they are...they don’t have those eyes that see and ears that hear..where it’s all been spoken in the Spirit ....

See how the enemy blinds them from the truth....or maybe they aren’t even in the truth of God’s word.

They’re in their “ own truth”...
Like I say, their hate of calvin has them blind to Jesus

On saying that @Eternally Grateful ..we can have nasty thoughts about others..that’s hardening our heart, agreed.

The thing is though God is in control, with this child of his and he will discipline them ...and convict them of this wrong behaviour...we have absolutely nothing to worry about as we rest in him...the Holy Spirit will always sort us out ...

As long as we have been birthed in the Spirit.

My friend was telling me, she thought she was Born Again..it turned out she wasn’t.....she is now...
I felt the lords chastening, But I was angry, and I acted out. so i ignored it. And the more I ignored it. the harder my heart Got..

I deleted my posts...that said we can’t harden our hearts.

I would like you to explain how you hardened your heart towards God?

I have never done that.imo/ belief...so maybe you can explain what a hard heart means?
A hard heart is actually a bad interpretation.

The word hard means to strengthen..

so when we harden our heart. we are strengthened in what we are doing.. and we start to excuse it. or see it is easier to do.. and it is easier to ignore or step aside from what our spirit is telling us..

For you @Eternally Grateful ..does this scripture speak to you?

Romans 5:3-5Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Matthew 10
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. 15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Yes it does

But that does not say I can not harden my heart.. This is saying we can grow by suffering.

@Eternally Grateful ...see how the enemy tried to cause us to divide....we were both in the Spirit..I’m not saying I was at the beginning of our conversation, I was in the flesh.

Yet look how God turned our conversation around...I heard him and let go of my flesh...therefore I have grown in Christ....

Pride serves no purpose..it robs us Brother of God’s Living word.

In part we agree. I mainly express (according to Gods WAY), which are the Details, the Specifics, of the Manner, Way, God requires a man ACCEPTING his Offering OF:
Forgiveness
Soul salvation
Spirit quickening
Becoming MADE Set apart, justified, sealed ONLY unto God.
Raised in Glory.

It’s a consideration of Gods Offering to ALL of manKIND…and the specific WAY (Being according to Gods WAY) any man has FREEWILL Option to willingly choose and ACCEPT His Offering according to His WAY..(ie TERMS)…or NOT.

The OFFERING IS already established, Has a COST, IS already PAID FOR,(By, the Lord) For ALL of ManKIND to…agree, take, have, possess FOREVER…or REJECT.

Believing IS a “WORKS” a man can DO…(or not). Simply Believing is NOT a commitment.
A Living man, can Believe, stop Believing, Again Believe, Wonder, Doubt, Deny, Believe….(the Hebrews, the Israelites, even the Appointed Apostles are Biblical examples of such things, and for 2,000 years to this day, individual Gentiles, do the same things.)

An ALIVE man…(even in ancient days/ primarily Hebrews/Israelites…and historical days/ including Gentiles…to this day and future until no mortals exist)… WHO is Believing (truly in his Hearts thoughts) even though NO CONFESSION was MADE (by him), while ALIVE in his FLESH, SHALL BE SAVED, after his BODY Dies.

Do “we” KNOW the true thoughts in a mans Heart, at the moment of his physical bodily death (he being whom “we” never heard him Confess Belief)? No we do not.

As a matter of FACT…men can routinely Believe, not Believe, and can be heard this day, and not another day of their wondering, believing, denying, believing….may be musing, mindfully thinking, speaking their minds thoughts, doubting in their hearts thoughts….WE can guess…but that is no matter that determines their Salvation.
Only God and the individual man KNOWS the thoughts in his HEART at the very moment a mans physical body dies.

Jesus Himself, OFFERED for an ALIVE man, Who IS Freely WILLING to MAKE a COMMITMENT of Heartful Belief, and OFFER their own Body’s LIFE Unto the Lord God…
AN ASSURANCE OF Forgiveness ..RIGHT THEN…(for having HAD not Believed.)
AN ASSURANCE OF their soul’s SALVATION;
Given them…RIGHT THEN.
AN ASSURANCE OF their spirit’s Re-BIRTH;
Given them …RIGHT THEN.
AN ASSURANCE OF their body to BE RE-MADE on the DAY it is RAISED UP Glorified, (Holy, Sinless).

THAT ^^ is the Specific Application for which the premise, the understanding, of the acronym (OSAS) and it’s phrase (Once Saved Always Saved) and to WHOM ASSURANCE IS Applicable.

It IS ASSURED…BECAUSE …
Soul Saving…
Spirit Quickening …
IS ALREADY Accomplished by the Word and Power of God and heartful Submission of the individual man.
IT IS KEPT Accomplished by the Word and Power of God.

And the … manifestation of a Glorified Body, is Trusted by “some men”, that God IS faithful and Shall raise their body in glory.

Point Being…It doesn’t really matter, IF some men BELIEVE soul salvation and spirit quickening (ie born again spirit) IS possible In an Alive man, IS permanent….The Lord says it is, and some men Trust to Believe it.

(Which OSAS, is simply a notice of men who DO Believe it.)

Glory to God,
Taken
Of course, it is a free will choice. But God's transformation of the will is his preemptive act of Grace as Paul indicates here.

Romans 9:14-18
What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.” So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires.

Paul defeats the idea that God must depend on MY choice to be saved. If I am to be saved, I will, of course, choose to be saved. But prior to my choice is God's work in my heart, transforming my thoughts and intentions. After all, as Paul points out, God will have mercy on whom HE has mercy, and he will have compassion on whom HE has compassion. The one who created my will is the one who is able to recreate my will so that I might be saved.

Also, Jesus' parable of the sower illustrates this principle. Three out of the four soils resulted in belief after hearing the word. But only one soil resulted in the perseverance of faith. In this parable, the soil represents the heart of an individual. Some hearts are ready to hear and believe the word; other hearts are willing to believe but not able to persevere in belief. Only the soil (heart) that has been cultivated (prepared) to receive the seed (word) will bear fruit (persevere). Everyone who believes in the word, makes a free will choice to believe it. But God must first prepare the heart to persevere in faith. God did not prepare the hearts of those who fell away.

God will not force you to do what you do not want to do. or not do what you want to do..
No he won’t...but he exactly knows how to get his way...I’ve been watching him doing this in my life.

I have said to God NO I am NOT doing that.

God gets his way every time..and I always end up eventually doing it.

I can’t deny God..and why would I want to say NO to his Living word.

We are ALL forever learning!

Hardening our heart is suffering Brother.

We hurt the Spirit when we harden our heart..can’t you feel you hurt the Holy Spirit now when you harden your heart?

I know I do....he knows I can be as stubborn as as a mule....and he knows how to get his way with me...he knows my heart and he knows I’m in LOVE with him..

How can one not be in Love with God through the Spirit...when he loved us first...his Love , when he poured It into my spirit..completely overwhelmed me!!

Still does to this day...there is no love on the planet like it.

God knows your heart...and he knows exactly how to deal with his Son in Christ...don’t be so hard on yourself, is what i’m getting.
oh I know

God brought me to the end of my rope. I was ready to kill myself.. I was at a dead end.. That is when God had my best friend growing up who I had not heard from in over 4 years call me..

That call rescued me..
