The Lord's Prayer, also known as the Our Father, is a Christian prayer that appears in the Book of Matthew, chapter 6, verses 9-13 in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. The prayer begins with "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name". It continues with requests for daily bread, forgiveness, and deliverance from evil.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
