Hi there,
So there is a dynamic in the life of Earth dwellers that wasn't there before: concerning knowledge. Originally, the knowledge of good and evil, was knowledge of the one - destroyed by sin, but always being knowledge of the one. Then Christ lay His Life down, destroyed by sin, but still knowledge, that is, not only of the one, but of Him. Thus there are two forms of knowledge now. This is a miracle. Knowledge now gives us a choice.
What is fascinating about this, is that we can both know and be known - knowing does not limit us to what we know, nor does anticipating being known limit us the way coming to be condemned would condemn us. That is, we cannot be known only desiring to know sin. This comes to be a drawing, as Christ said "and I if I am lifted up, will draw all peoples to myself" (gospels, from memory), in other words all peoples are known by Christ and this being known they know. Thus coming to peoples with Christ, is something familiar to them and being familiar makes it also welcome. This is just one example of how a choice of knowledge can be welcome.
So then, because we sin and are liable to die, does Christ know us also to be dead? Yes, but His knowing us brings us to life! And if we know and have been brought to life, does not our sin come to life also? Yes, but we may repent! Thus we are purified over time, that we might do good, knowing enough and being ready to be known. God ever intercedes in the Holy Spirit that we know the right thing and are known the perfect way - thus the Spirit of God makes us strong and capable of doing whatever the Spirit leads us in - for this we can be grateful. God's Spirit can lead us even in knowledge, because God's Spirit weighs the difference between knowing and being known. This is the power of God.
What to pray for then?! Pray that your knowledge be effective on the one hand, and that being known empower spirit in you on the other hand. These two things will give the Holy Spirit room to work, with the knowledge that you have. Thank the Holy Spirit for His Power and wait to be quickened - if you have this patience, you have it within you to possess your soul. Men that possess their soul, endure. This is not a strange commandment, but one that draws on scripture to find meaning. I hope that it will empower you!
God bless.
