California had to kill alot of chickens with bird flu.
My neighbor said a dozen eggs are twelve dollars.

I am in the central part of the US, and prices are similar here for run of the mill eggs. Organic pasture raised eggs are about $6-$6.50/dozen. Organic "cage-free" are about $8 for an 18ct carton. Eggs are sometimes less abundant, but not horrible. Is it just in that area? I mean we have no lines and you can get a dozen eggs here for $5 still
I asked some people in the industry and they said the BF is being blown way out of proportion. Sadly, it is a systematic attack on our food security.Where are you located?

A dollar an egg???Prices are soaring due to bird flu.
I'm not an egg eater but my neighbor said eggs are $12 a dozen here in Los Angeles.
Is this a real thing? I can't find anything on the site that explains what the program involves. lolWhile others are renting chickens (apparently it's a thing now :))!!
My daughter has 40 chickens and 4 roosters. I joked with her about going out and holding a meeting. Since molting, they stopped laying eggs. Either the union needs to be broken up, or all employees fired and go to the Farm Store and buy a new crop of employees.
Have you seen this with your own eyes?Long line of cars for eggs... California.
Have you seen this with your own eyes?
Might be cheaper to go fishing ...and faster, less lines ....lol
Find someone with a stocked pond....? lolI thought most fishing licences would be around $10 and so still cheaper than a 12 pack of eggs, and so I thought, let me check out how much it would cost to cast a line with a hook on it in a place like California
This is insane
