No one has authority to read or study scripture for himself and form his own doctrine!

We must be taught by the church of Christ!
Lk 1:4 instructed:

But what is "the church of Christ"? The one you choose?

I won't pretend to know. I would have to revisit the passages in the law to remember what he says, if he's supposed to say something. Right off, I don't remember him having to say anything. But I do remember something about a wandering Aramean? Is that from the lawful rules of the Mosaic Passover? Feel free to fill us in. Whatever it is, did Jesus say it after he sacrificed himself as our Passover Lamb 2000 years ago, never having to be sacrificed again?

He did. It's composed of all the people who genuinely believe in Christ. In the beginning after the resurrection these people could indeed be found in groups that were in fact the true organization of God's people in the world. But as Paul prophesied would happen, savage wolves came in not too long after that and ended that. Now we exist scattered among the various man made religious organizations of the world. The true church of God where God dwells is now one stone here, another stone there, and still another stone over there. It does not exist as a religious organization in the world now. It will again one day, though. After the return of Christ.

OH let the LORD be praised and in all that we do and say may it HONOR HE who has saved us .
Follow Christ and test all men who do instruct . We are in a massive falling away and it will soon lead
to the largest persecution against the true lambs who did not conform . May all endure faithful to Christ to the end .
OH in the LORD is all hope . And whether we live , its for the LORD and if we die then its for the LORD .
LET the KING be praised . And may the true lambs gather in little clusters and be here for one another .
A time of great testing is coming . Just as soon as the delusion has ran its course . No fear of man , nor what he can do .

They have authority to send others as well, apostle means one who is sent!

Christ is an apostle, and has authority to send other apostles, the apostles also have this authority, so the apostles continue down thru the centuries as Christ promised! Matt 28:19-20

Two edge sword: defining truth and condemning errors, and Interpreting scripture.

Necessity of Peter and the apostles and their successors to govern the holy church.

Spiritual authority:
(Life of Grace)
Sanctifying thru the mass and Sacraments




Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!

Communion is indeed based on the Passover observance. Many churches turn it into legalistic liturgy. And in the case of the Catholic church, turn it into something worse than that.
