Hi Matthew, I totally agree about a membership pass for those who can't stand the ads. I would live with them but since I have not signed out since they started, I have none...or my ad blocker plus rocks! It's just ads. You can just click close and move forward. (Pretend they don't exist).
To run the operations here it cost money.
Unless they make a membership pass were you don't have to deal with ads you will just have to deal with it.
I have a concern that we could have some shopaholics (another addiction)..
.
I don't mind ads, really. It's just that the nature of the ad business is just so obnoxious on most websites. It's like walking down Bay Street in the Bahamas (Nassau).
.
.
.I have not seen anymore “divination” Tarot Card adds.
That’s good!
However, there has been a couple of adds showing under-dressed women (lots of leg, arms, and too much chest right to the boarder of the spheres).
@doughty
.Lol @Nancy.
I use safari, I see the ads all the time but just close them out. I don't feel like getting a different browser, the google chrome runs a lot of resources on a Mac.
Did you have to pay for that grace…?
When you come visit you can show me how to do it.
.I'd leave it as is, then you won't get the ads...less you want' em that is
One of the ads displayed this weekend was "Epic Cheerleader Fails" click-bait, the leader being a photo of a young woman who evidently was not wearing a brassiere under her cheerleader's sweater on a cold, crisp fall afternoon. Not appropriate, I'd say. I didn't click..
.
I'm afraid the under-dressed women are going to be hard to cull nowadays, my friend. They go to church that way now, you know.

Now, the Amish click-bait actually turned out to be rather informative, though I was not shocked by #4 as promised by the teaser. False advertising?
I do too Barney, that's why I did suggest donations to the site as, I would gladly donate here..

I try not to interfere with ads unless they actually inhibit usability. I don't feel right hindering businesses from generating revenue for their operational expenses. I feel convicted of theft.
.Hi Barney
.
Hi folks, just letting you all know that we have a new owner/admin of CyB.
You may have noticed advertisements appearing around the forum which may be new to some of us, particularly myself. However, our new owner/admin has specifically chosen a Christian ad agency that will filter out the type of things/ads that would be considered inappropriate as believers in Christ...
Blessings and Peace
Angelina
I was told they would filter out ads considered inappropriate for a Christian site. So not necessarily Christian, but ads that are not inappropriate.
I’ll be monitoring closely during this change.
That is very true BarneyFife..
